Dear Mr. Hartford,
The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the survey dated
and received in our office on December 13, 200, and determined
that the installation of a water main for the Takaposha shores
area, to be out of the Wetland jurisdiction, under Chapter 97 of
the Town Wetland Code.
However, any activity within 75' of the Wetland line would
require permits from this office.
This determination is not a determination from any other agency.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to
call.

At the meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held Monday, June 21,
1999, the following recommendation was made:
Moved by Scott Hilary, seconded by Kenneth Meskill, it was
RESOLVED to TABLE the Wetland Permit Application of HARFORD, KOUZIOS,
MCNAMARA, PANELLA & ZANG 87-6-2,4,7,9 & 10 to install an underground pipe fi.om
Main Bayview Rd., along Takaposha Rd., to the applicant's respective homes in order to have
useable water from the SCWA. Installation of the pipe will be in accordance with the
specifications provided by SCWA and any other authority providing permits.

The CAC Tabled the application until complete installation plans are available including wetland
delineation, and, information regarding maintenance and repair in the future.

We have been retained by Mike McNamara to prepare design for a new water service
installation for a multiple residence development at Tukaposha road and Bayview road.
The proposed project will consist of five (5) single family homes, A 4" water main
service must be run through the site, A DT-200 meter vault will be installed at the
property !ina with two (2) 2" meters. The dual 2" meters will be installed without a
bypass, If this is not acceptable please specify the correct arrangement. Each home
wi!! have an individual 1" water service and meter. The average daily demand is
estimated at 750 GPD with a peak demand of 40 GPM.
A second option is being considered with three (3) single family homes. A 2" water
service main must be run through the site, A single 2" meter wilt be installed in a small
vault and will have no bypass, Each home will have an individual 1" water service and
meter. The average daily demand is estimated at 450 GPM wtttl a peak demand of 30
GPM.
