BAILEY WILDERNESS POINT, FISHERS ISLAND SCTM#1000-12-2-6.2 Dear Mr. Albert: The Southold Town Board of Trustees reviewed the survey prepared by Chandler, Palmer & King dated January 17, 1990 and plot plan prepared by Albert, Righter & Tittmann Architects, Inc. dated November 7, 2003 and determined the proposed additions to the existing dwelling to be out of the Wetland jurisdiction under Chapter 97 of the Town Wetland Code and Chapter 37 of the Town Code. Therefore, in accordance with the current Tidal Wetlands Code (Chapter 97) and the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area (Chapter 37) no permit is required. Please be advised, however, that no construction, sedimentation, or disturbance of any kind may take place seaward of the tidal wetlands jurisdictional boundary or seaward of the coastal erosion hazard area as indicated above, without a permit. It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent any sedimentation or other alteration or disturbance to the ground surface or vegetation within Tidal Wetlands jurisdiction and Coastal Erosion Hazard Area, which may result from your project. Such precautions may include maintaining adequate work area between the tidal wetland jurisdictional boundary and the coastal erosion hazard area and your project or erecting a temporary fence, barrier, or hay bale berm. However, any activity within 100' of a Wetland line or seaward of the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area would require permits from this office. Tax Map #1000-012-2-6.2 B0aM6?~stees Fishers Island Dear Ms. Standish: Enclosed are drawings for a remodeling wiuh small additions ~o the master bedroom of Mr. & Mrs. James Bailey's house on Wilderness Point, Fishers Island· The work includes adding a bay window on the west end of the bedroom and adding a small stair outside the existing footprint on the north side to get to a new study in what is now unfinished attic above the master bath & dressing room · The elevation above sea level is about 27'. The distance from new work to wetlands on the landward side is about 127'. Could you let me know if this work falls within Trustees jurisdiction? We look forward to hearing from you.
