on an existing floating dock system all waterward of the apparent high tide line.

Dear Mr. Neilson:
The Board of Town Trustees took the following action during its regular meeting held on
Wednesday, October 22,2003 regarding the above matter:
WHEREAS, Docko, Inc. on behalf of PAUL TOMBARI applied to the Southold Town Trustees
for a permit under the provisions of Chapter 97 of the Southold Town Code, the Wetland
Ordinance of the Town of South old, application dated September 17, 2003, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council
for their findings and recommendations, and,
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with respect to said application on
October 22, 2003, at which time all interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are familiar with the premises in
question and the surrounding area, and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and documentation submitted
concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standards set forth in Chapter 97 of the Southold
Town Code,

WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed will not affect the health,
safety and general welfare of the people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees approve the application of PAUL TOMBARI to
rebuild an existing timber pile bulkhead including thirteen new bulkhead support pilings, remove
one boulder, construct a new 75 sf. of fixed deck and install a new l2'X 30' float with an
associated ramp. Also install a new 6'X 20' "L" float on an existing floating dock system all
waterward of the apparent high tide line.
Permit to construct and complete project will expire two years rrom the date the permit is signed.
Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
Inspections are required at a fee of$5.00 per inspection. (See attached schedule.)

The New York District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has received a
request for Department of the Army authorization for the following
activity:
APPLICANT:
Paul Tombari
P.O. Box 357
Fishers Island, NY 06390
ACTIVITY:
Install an 18' x 3' ramp and a 20' x 6' float in an "LI!
configuration, secured by four (4) guide piles, at the
landward and waterward ends, respectively, of an
existing ramp and float assembly. Construct a 75 square
foot deck above and landward of an existing bulkhead and
install a 30' x 4' ramp and a 30' x 12' float extending
from the deck. Under the authority of the Nationwide
Permit Program, repair an existing timber pile bulkhead
and install new bulkhead support pilings. The project
purpose is to enhance and existing mooring facility.
WATERWAY:
Pirates Cove, Fishers Island Sound, Block Island Sound
LOCATION:
Fishers Island, Town of Southold, Suffolk County, NY
As this is minor in nature, authorization may be by Letter of
Permission. This is in accordance with current Federal Regulations
governing work in navigable waters of the United States. To accomplish
the coordination required, prior to the issuance of a Letter of
Permission, your review of the enclosed drawings is requested.
Pursuant to Section 307 (c) of the Coastal Zone Management Act of
:972 as amended (16 U.S.C. 1465 (c) (3) (A)), the applicant has certified
that the activity complies with and will be conducted in a manner that
is consistent with the approved state coastal zone management program.
To allow for the timely processing of the subject application, your
comments are requested within 15 days of the date of this letter.

SOUTHOLD TOWN
CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
At the meeting of the Southold Town Conser\tation Advisory Council held Tuesday,
October 14, 2003, the following recommendation was made:
PAUL TOMBARJ to rebuild an existing timber pile bulkhead including thirteen new
bulkhead support pilings, remove one boulder, construct a new 75 sf. of fixed deck and
install a new 12'X 30' float with an associated ramp. Also install a new 6'X 20' "L" float
on an existing floating dock system all waterward of the apparent high tide line.
Located: The Gloaming, Fishers Island. SCTM#10-10-1
The CAC did not make an inspection, therefore no recommendation was made.
