ORDER DISCONTIR~ING
TO~ HIGHWAY
Application having been made by Eussell G. D'Oench for the
discontinuance of a portion of a certain Town highway located at
Fishers Island, in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York,
said To~m highway being known as "SI~RLING STREET~, and all par-
ties affected thereby having released the Town of Southold from
all damages by reason of the discontinuance of said highway throuE
the parcel of land hereinafter described as a Town highway, and
the To~m Board of the Town of Southold having made its consent to
the making of this Order
N~, TP~REFORE, Is HAROLD D. PRICE, Town Superintendent of
Highways of the Tov~ of ~outhold, in accordance with the provision~
of Section 171 of the Highway Law of the State of New York~ do
hereby order that portion of said existing highway consisting of
land hereinafter described be discoutLuued and closed as a public
highway of the said Town of Southold. The lands to be discon-
tinued for highway use are the following, to wit:
All that certain tract or parcel of land known as a

the Town of Southold, Suffolk Oounty$ New York, being
bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a drill hole in a boulder on the westerly
line of Sterling Street, said point being 1,571.10 feet
north of a point which is 173.75 feet west of a monument
marking the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey Tri-
angulation Station ~PROS~ and thence ~nning south 84 do-
nees 58 minutes 20 seconds East 1~.49 feet; thence north
degrees 21 minutes 50 seconds East 71.19 feet to a monu-
ment; thence north 31 degrees 38 minutes 30 seconds East
99.25 feet to the west face of a rock at the shore of ~est
Harbor; thence northwesterly along said shore line about 15
feet to the east face of a rock; thence so~th 32 degrees 12
minutes 15 seconds '~est 95.78 feet to a drill ho~e; thence

TOWN HIGHWAY
Upon reading and filing the Application of RUSSELL G. D'OENCIt, dated
and acknowledged the 20th day of June, 1963, and the release of the said
Russell G. D~Oench, dated and acknowledged the 20th day of June, 1963, the
releases of Helen M. Roberts and Katherine Htirlburt Hale, both dated and
acknowledged the 21st day of June, 1963, and the release of Charlotte
Hubbard, dated and acknowledged the 25th day of June, 1963, which said
Application requests the discontinuance of a portion of a Town highway of
the Town of Southold known as "STERLING STREET" consisting of the follow-!
lng lands, to wit:
All that certain tract or parcel of land known as a portion of
Sterling Street, located at Fishers Island, in the Town of Southold;
Suffolk County, New York, being bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at a drill hole in a boulder on the westerly line of
Sterling Street, said point being 1, 571, 10 feet north of a point which
is 173.75 feet west of a monument marking the United States Coast
and Geodetic Survey Triangulation Station "PROS" and thence run-

Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Southold make an order discontinu-

tinue a portion of the Town highway at Fishers Island, in the Town

2~, 1963, which said map shows the highway requested to be
tinued by this application.
