POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the Board on any given topic. PUBLIC NOTICES NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Notice of Complete Application of New Suffolk Shipyard to maintenance dredge the entrance of School House Creek, Cutchogue Harbor, Old Harbor Road, New Suffolk, Town of Southold. Oral and written comments received February 1, 2005 at 10:00 a.m., Cutchogue Firehouse, New Suffolk Road, Cutchogue. New York State Department of Transportation Notice of Order to reduce the speed limit from 35 mph to 30 mph on all roads in the Great Hog Neck, Southold, area. Order effective upon installation of necessary traffic control devices. RESOLUTIONS Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to speak on the following resolutions. 892. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2004 budget for over-expended appropriation lines, AS400 maintenance. 893. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute the deeds and conveyance documents with the County of Suffolk for several Suffolk County tax map parcels. Domino from his position as chairman and member of the Southold Town Tree Committee, effective December 31, 2004. 895. Accept the letter of resignation from Marilyn LoPresti, Ph.D., from her position as member of the Southold Town Tree Committee, effective December 9, 2004. 896. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2004 budget to appropriate donated funds for the review of shelter plans for the proposed Animal Shelter. 897. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2004 budget to appropriate funds for various over-expended line items: Town Board environmental consultants, Accounting vacation earnings, Central Garage gas & oil, Control of Dogs NF Animal League. 898. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2004 budget to appropriate funds for DEC Environmental Monitor. 899. Authorize modification to the Highway Department 2004 budget for general repairs. 900. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2004 budget for Recreation Center parking lot improvements. 901. Set 8:00 p.m., January 18, 2005, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public hearing on the purchase of properly of Reese et al, SCTM # 1000-45-5-5. 902. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town Building & Grounds 2004 budget for properly taxes. 903. Set 8:05 p.m., January 18, 2005, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public hearing on the purchase of a development rights easement on agricultural lands for a certain parcel of Dorset Farms, Inc. (SCTM #1000-100-4-8). 904. Authorize modification to the Community Preservation (2%) 2004 budget for Custer Preserve site improvements. 905. Authorize the filing of an application for New York State financial aide for household hazardous waste programs, and authorize Supervisor Horton as the official representative of the municipality of Southold Town. 906. RESOLUTIONS - Cont. 907. Release the Letter of Credit No. 020522 in the amount of $35,200 relating to the Minor Subdivision for Raymond J. Akscin. 908. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2004 budget for Programs for the Aging, vehicle maintenance and repair. 909. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute a budget modification for the Community Services for the Elderly Residential Repair Program 2004-2005. 910. Permanently appoint Lauren Standish as full-time Secretarial Assistant in the Trustee Office. 911. Appoint Michael Verity to the permanent full-time position of Chief Building Inspector in the Building Department. 912. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2004 budget to appropriate funds for police patrol vehicles. 913. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute an agreement with the County of Suffolk for the 2005 STOP-DWI Program. 914. Accept the bid of Hoppy's Cleaners for the cleaning of the Police uniforms, 2005. 915. Authorize modification to the Highway Fund 2004 budget for miscellaneous services and supplies. 916. Grant a full refund to Stephen Matteini, as his ZBA application has been withdrawn. 917. Grant a full refund to Thomas DeWolfe, as his ZBA application has been withdrawn. 918. Designate the house of Jan and Charlotte Jungblut, 3295 Main Road, Southold, as a Southold Town Landmark. 919. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute an agreement with Network Adjusters, Inc. to manage the Town's 2005 self-insurance program. 920. Set 8:10 p.m., January 18, 2005, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public hearing on "A Local Law in relation to Residential Site Plan Requirements". 921. Transmit "A Local Law in relation to Residential Site Plan Requirements" to the Southold Town Planning Board and the Suffolk County Department of Planning for their recommendations and reports. Retain Design Learned, Inc. to provide architectural and engineering services in connection with the construction of a new Town animal shelter and authorize Supervisor Horton to execute the retainer agreement. 924. Authorize the modification of the Solid Waste District 2004 budget for over-expended appropriation lines. 925. Authorize the modification of the solid Waste District 2004 budget for miscellaneous supplies and services. 926. Appoint Mary C. Wilson, Esq. as hearing officer in the disciplinary charges brought against a Town employee and suspend said employee without pay for not more than thirty days pending the determination of the charges. 927. Determine that "A Local Law to amend the Street Excavations Chapter of the Town Code of the Town of Southold" is a Type II Action and not subject to review pursuant to SEQRA. 928. Authorize the Planning Board to post an advertisement via the American Planning Association's Job Mart site for a Senior Planner. 929. Appropriate $100,000 from the designated park and recreation fund for capital improvements to Mitchell Park in the Village of Greenport, and determine that the distribution of said funds will require the execution of a cooperation agreement with the Village of Greenport. 930. Appropriate $100,000 from the designated park and recreation fund for capital improvements to the playing fields at Aldrich Lane in the Mattituck Park District, and determine that the distribution of said funds will require the execution of a cooperation agreement with the Mattituck Park District. 931.
