New York 11971 SOUTHOLD TOWN CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL At the meeting of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council held Tuesday, January 18, 2000, the following recommendation was made: Moved by Bill McDermott, seconded by Richard Smith, it was RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees DISAPPROVAL of the Wetland Permit Application of KERMIT JOHNS 104-9-10 to construct a 4'X 100' fixed timber walk, 3'X 12' ramp and a 6'X 20' float on 6" diameter low-profile piles to be installed ITom existing retaining wall over tidal wetlands to Haywaters Cove, inkind/inplace repair/replacement of existing +/-30' timber wall and steps. 1800 Broadwaters Rd., Cutchogue The CAC recommends Disapproval because the proposed structure would limit public access to the marsh system. The trade-off of the potential negative impact on the wetland system from the proposed catwalk for available water depth is not warranted. Vote of Council.
