I represent a prospective purchaser of the parcel of vacant land at Fishers
Island that is the subject of the referenced permit from the Board of Town Trustees.
Please confirm to me that the subject permit continues to be in full force and
effect (at least until its expiration date of Septemebr 3, 1999) and that it may be freely
transferred to the new owner of the property without the necessity of any further action
from your agency. If a specific form of transfer document must be filed in order for you to
recognize a transfer of the permit to the new owner, please so advise me and send me a
copy of the necessary form.

Dear Mr. Just,
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its Regular Meeting held on August 27, 1997 regarding the
above matter:
WHEREAS, GEORGE HAWES, applied to the Southold Town Trustees
for a permit under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of
the Town of Southold, application dated July 9, 1997 and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said application on August 27, 1997 at which time all
interested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and
documentation submitted concerning this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth in
Chapter 97-18 of the Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the
people of the town,

RESOLVED, that the Board of

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this determination should not be
considered a determination made for any other Department or

and permit issued within six months of the date of this
notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.

The following recommendation was passed by the Southold Town Conservation
Advisory Council at its July 28, 1997 meeting:

construct deck and driveway.

The CAC did not make an inspection and, therefore, does not have a
