I would like to find out ~omc information on the use potential of a
piece of small land zoned MII in the Township of Southold. The section, lot
and block #'s are 56.-6-10./.
I have spoken to the dnt) analxst at the DEC and hired a
Environmental Consultant to Io~k at the property as well. I would like to
put a small PRIVATE dock to accommodate 6 to 10 boats and a small gravel
parking area (NO Building ~. 1 helicve thc use of a raised walkway 3 1/2 feet
above marsh and shallow area t~ deeper water would be the solution. I have
taken my 20" boat into this area at l,m' tide and did not have a problem
navigating. I ask you to please h~ok into this matter and advise me on my
options with this piece of property zoned marine.
* Attached is a copy of the last ~ur~c3 and first draft of proposed dock
drawing. The property is beiog re-surx eyed in the near future

I would like to find out some information on the use potential of a
piece of small land zoned Mi] in the Township of Southold. The section, lot
and block #'s are 56.-6-I0.1.
I have spoke to the duty analyst at the DEC and hired a Environmental
Consultant to look at the property as well. I would like to put a small dock
with 6 to 10 boat slips in and a small gravel parking lot (NO Building) I
understand that the water is a shallow close to shore at low tide and your
concerns might be the dock hitting bottom at low tide. I beheve the use of a
raised walkway over marsh and shallow area to deeper water would be the
solution. I have taken my 20" boat into this area at low tide and did not have
a problem navigating. I'm not looking to put a fancy marina at this location,
just to put a small floating dock to accommodate local baymen 6 to 10 small
boats with a small gravel parking area. I believe the previous owner was
issued a pesmit to put a floating dock in but never acted upon it. I ask you to
please look into this matter and advise me on my options with this piece of
property.
