WAIVER OF NOTICE OF TOWN BOARD MHEETING We, the undersigned, being members of the Town Board-of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, do hereby severally waive notice of the time, place and purpose of the meeting of the Town Board to'be hel~d at GreenPort, in the Town of Southold, New York, on the 15th day of Dec- ember, 1960, at 7:30 P.M., and do h~reby consent that the same be held on said date for the transaction of any business which may properly come before said meeting. Richmond Town Clerk A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the Supervisor's Office, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, on Thursday, December 15, 1960. The members of the Board waived notice of the time, place and pur- pose of the meeting. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Henry H. Tuthill at 7:30 P.M. with the following present: /Supervisor Henry H. Tuthill, Councilman Albertson;AJustices Tuthill and Clark; Supt, of High- ways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk R~chmond. The meeting of December 13, 1960, had been cancelled because several ' members of the Bcard could not attend due to a severe snowstorm. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Highways, be authorized to advertise for bids and p~rchase from the lowest bidder 5,000 ft.,of snowfence and 500 fence posts. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Tuthill; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill and clark. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded byJustice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the Police report for the month of November be'accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the report of the Auxiliary ~olice for the monthLofNov- ember be accepted by the TOWn Board and placed on file. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-SuperviSor Tuthill; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice clark: WHEREAS, the Southold American Legion G.T.G. Post $803 has applied to the Town Clerk for a Bingo License and WHEREAS, the Town Board has examined the application and after investiq- ating the matter, duly made findings and determinations as required by Law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES~ED: That the supervisor be and he hereby is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of this Board the findings and determinations required by law, and it is furhter RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk be and hereby is directed to issue a Bingo Licenxe to the Southold American Legion G.T.G. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Tuthill; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill and Clark. The~minutes of the Convention of the Planning Board was received by the Town Board and placed on file. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, a petition was received from A. John Gada, requesting a change or-zone of certain property situated on Fishers Island, and more fully described in said petition to "C" Industrial District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold beand he is hereby directed to transmit the application to the Planning Board in accordance with Section 901, Subdivision C of Ar%icle IX of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York. ~- Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Superviscr Tuthill; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: WHEREAS, the property in the vicinity of the intersection of Sound Avenue, Middle Road and Cox Neck Road at Mattituck, in the Town of Southold, is presently zoned "A, Residential and Agricultural, and WHEREAS, after due consideration and after members of the Town Board and the Planning Board of the Town of Southold have visited ~h~s area and are of the~opinion that certain property in this area should be rezoned from "A" Resident&al and agricultural to "B" Business District in view of the fact that there is a need for additional business zones intthis area, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that there be referred to the Plan- n.ing Board of the Town of Southold for its reco~,u~endation and official report the following proposal to amend the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold including the Building Zone Map, to wit:- 1. By changing from "A"AResidential and A~riculural District to "B" Business District the following described'property: ALL those certain tracts or parcels of land, situate, lying and being at Mattituck, in the Town of Southold, County of Suffolk, State of New York, bounded and described as follows: PARCEL 1. Beginning at the intersection of the northerly line of Sound Avenue with the westerly line of Cox Neck Road and running themce west- erly along the northerly line-of Sound Avenue 450 feet; thence northerly at right angles to said line of Sound Avenue 350 feet, more or less; thence easterly at right angles to said westerly line of Cox Neck Road 275 feet, more or less, to said westerly line of Cox Neck Road: thence southerly along said westerly line of Cox Neck Road 500 feet to the point of beginning. Containing about three and one-half acres. PARCEL 2. Beginning at a point on the easterly line of Cox Neck Road 300 feet northerly from the northerly line of Middle Road, measured at right angles to said line of Middle Road, and running thence east- erly parallel to said line of Middle Road about 970 feet tothe easterly boundary line of land now or formerly of Bullock; thence southerly along said line of Bullock about 323 feet to said northerly line of Middle Road; thence westerly along said line of Middle Road about 950 feet to an ~ngle~ in said line; thence northwesterly along the northerly line of said Middle Road about 50 feet to the easterly line of said Cox Neck Road; thence northerly along said easterly line of Cox Neck Road about 290 feet to the point of beginning. Containing about Seven Acres. PARCEL 3. Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Middle Road at the northeasterly corner of land now or formerly-.of Kousourous-and running thence southerly along the easterlyboundary of said .i~nd of Kousourous and then along the-easterly boundary line of land of;the Long Island Lighting Company, abou~ 425 feet to the' northerly line or'Sound Avenue; thence northwesterly along said northerly Iine of Sound~AVenue about 900 feet to a point; thence northerly along the westerly line of land of said Kousourous 57 feet to the southerly line'of said Middle Road; thence easterly along said southerly line of Middle Road about 703'fleet to the point of beginning, Containing about Four and One-quarter Acres. PARCEL 4. Beginning at a point on the southerly line of Sound.Avenue at the soUt_heBB~erly ~ine of the easement of the Long Island Lighting Company; running thence along said southeasterly line of-the easement last described in a southwesterly direction about 440 feet; thence along said line of said easement, westerly about 880 feet to the westerly b~undary line-of land now or _formerly of Sacks; thence northerly along said westerly line of Sacks about ll70feet to the southerly line of Said Sound Avenue; thence easterly ~and southeasterly along said line of Sound Avenue about 1700 feet to the point of beginning. Containing about Twenty-three Acres.
