HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-10/10/1960MEETING OF OCTOBER 10, 1960. ~,The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Henry. H, Tuthill, at Greenport, on Monday, October 10, 1960. The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: supervisor~ Tut~hi11; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tut_hill and Clark; Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Richmond. The ~Board mat at once as a coma~ittee on Audit to examine claims against the Town. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of October 4, 1960 be and they hereby are duly approved as read. Votel of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Tuthill; Councilmen Albertson and-Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Albertson~ seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of the Town Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Henry H. Moved by Councilman Albertson~ seconded by JustiCe Clark: WHEREAS, Southold Town Planning Board has prepared an official report and recommendation upon the petition of Frank Pumillo to extend "B" Business Zone southerly to cover all of said parcel in Mattituc~ N.Y. ~NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a public hearing will be held by ther Southold Town Board at the Supervisor's Office, in Greenport, on-Tuesday,-Oct. 25, 1960 at 7:30 P.M. on the above mentioned petition and that the Town Clerk be and he hereby is authorized and directed to cause a notice of said hearing to be published in the Long Islan~ Tra~eler~MattitQck WatChman, pursuant to the requirements of law. Richmond, Town Clerk, be and hereby¥is author~ ized to advertise for seal proposals for furnishing and deliverin~to the Town of-Southold, two new 1961 2-door sedans, 8 cylinders, standard model automobiles minimum:wheelbase 118 inches, color black for use as. police cars, each to be equipped.with heater' and defroster, spare~wheel and five (5) standard 4-ply tires, heavy duty battery, spot lightl, manuel gear shift, Positive traction rear,.bac~up lights, seat~covers. All bids must include trade-in allowance for 2 police car~ presently owned by said TOWn. The Town Board reserves the right to~ reject any and all bids and to waive any defect or-informality in a~y' bid should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Southold to do so. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLI~fI~ OF TOWN BOARD APPROVING PRELIMINARY BUDGET ANDCALLING PUBLIC HEARING THEREON RESOLVED: That this Town Board does hereby prepare and approve as the preliminary budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on .the 1st day of January, 1961 the itemized statement of estimated revenues and expenditures hereto attached and.made a part of th~s resolution, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED: That such preliminary budget be filed in the off~ce~ of the Town Clerk where it shalllbe~available for inspection by any~:~ interested person at all reasonabl~ hours, and'be it ~' ....
