The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E.
Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, December 8, 1959. The meeting was
called t0 order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor
Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; 'Justices Tuthitl and
Clark; Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk
Booth.
The Board sat at once as a co~a~tittee on Audit to examine claims
against the Town concluding the Audit w~rk at 1:50 P.M.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Albertson:
RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meetings of November 24 and 27
be and hereby are duly approved as read.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Alhertson
and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill:
RESOLVED: That theAnnual Audit Meeting of the Town B~a~d_~ill~f~be
held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport, on
Wednesday, December 30, 1959,at, 1:30 P.M.

and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by CQun~i~man Albertson:
RESOLVED: That Bond No. SM178332-4, issued by the American Motorists
Insurance Company, on behalf of RALPH W. TUTHILL in the sum of One
Thousand Dollars ($1,000) be and the same is hereby approved as to
its form, manner of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein.

and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.

WHEREAS, a letter was received from JOSEPH BURNS, Cubmaster of Pack
6 Boy Scouts of America, requesting ~ermission to ~-3~ hold an expos-.
ition in Southold, in April,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board does hereby grant
permission to the Peconic Bay Council Boy Scouts of America to hold
an exposition in Southold during the month of APril.

Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
Moved by Supt. of Highways Price; seconded by Councilman Demarest:
WHEREAS, a letter was received from Mrs..T~omas3~urrie-Bell on
behalf of the Historical Co~tittee of the'the Southold-Peconic
Civic Association requesting permission to erect historical signs
on Albertson's Lane and Youngs Avenue,
NOW, ~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVRD: That the Town Board does hereby
grant permission to the Historical Committee of the Southold-
Peconic Civic Association to erect an Historical Sign on Albertson's
Lane in Arshamomaque by the Old Burying Ground and one on the east
side of Youngs Avenue by Town Creek Park.

RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $6,336.49; Lighting
District Bills in the amount of $1,874.37; ~ishers Island Perry
District Bills in the amount of $10,401.98 be and the same are hereby
ordered paid.

RESOLVED: That the report of the Auxi~liary Police for the month
of November be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file,

RESOLVED: That the Police Report for the month of Novemb~er be
accepted by the Town Board and placed on file.

RESOLVED: That the Supt. of Highways of the Town of Southold be
and he hereby is authorized to advertise for bids and purchase from
the Iowest bidder, the following items:

2 -11 x 20 - 12 ply tires
2 -11.00 x 20 - Tubes
2 -12.00 x 24 - 14 ply tires

2 - 7.50 x 20 - 8ply tires

RESOLVED: That the Supt. of Highways of the Town of Southold be
and he hereby is authorized to advertise for bids and purchase
from the lowest bidder, 10,000 feet of snow fence and one thousand
steel posts.

RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be and he hereby is
authorized to advertise for bids on Sixty-five (65) 7.50x14
4-ply nylon tubeless automobile tires and Ten (10) 7.50x14-4 ply
nylon tubeless sn=w tires for use on pSlice cars.

RESOLVED: That the very interesting report of Howard M. Terry,
Building Inspector, on the Zoning Convention which was held at the
Patchogue Hotel, Patchogue, N.Y. on December 5, 1959, be accepted
by the Town Board and placed on file.

and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark.
