The meeting was-called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp7 Counnilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Supt. of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Booth. The:.Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against .the Town concluding the audit work at 2 P.M. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark'; RESOLVED:That the minutes of the meeting of February 17 be and hereby are duly approved as read. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. GOLDSMITH Has applied to the Town Board for a single automobile Trailer permit, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of CHARLES E. GOLDSMITH to locate a single automobile trailer on his property on Washington Avenue, Greenport, Town of Southold, N.Y. be and hereby is granted. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest: WHEREAS, FRANK GARLAND has applied to the Town Board for a ..single automobile trailer permit, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the application of FRANK GARLAND to locate a single automobile trailer on the Property of John Woessner, Main Road, Mattituck, be and hereby is granted for a term of two years from the 11 day of March, 1959 which term will end March 10, 1961. COX, of Mattituck, be and he hereby is appointed Dog Warden for the Town of Southold including the Village of Greenport, he to serve at the pleasure of the Town Board and that his duties be directed by the Town Board, be it further RESOLVED: That RALPH P. COX be compensated for such services at the rate of $2500.00 per year payable in regular monthly payments , and be it. further RESOLVED: That this appointment be effective as of March 16, 1959. - Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Couniclmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark. BORK, of Southold~be and be'hereby is appointed Watchman to serve in such capacity at the Southotd Town Police Station, be-it further RESOLVED: That John F. Bork be compensa/~ed,fOr such services in .the amount of $15.00 per diem, payable in regular bi-weekly payments and be it further RESOLVED: That this appointment be effective as of February 28, '1959, he to serve in such capacity at the pleasure of the Town Board. The-Board took up the matter of the automobile trailer permit issued to FLORENCE BUCKINGHAM, also considered the objections presented to the Board byMrs. Edith Youngs, Mrs. Dittman and Mrs. Schutt, through their Attorney Edward LaFreniere. After due consideratioh of the entire matter it was the consensus of opinion of the Board that the property where the trailer is located was adequate. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Councilman Demarest: RESOLED: That Bond No. SM178365-3, issued by the American Motor- ists Insurance Company, on behalf of Otto L. Anrig, in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) be and the Same is hereby approved as ~o its form, manner of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein. S, ROBINSON, TRUSTEE be granted, NOW, ~HEREFQRE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of Southold does hereby establish an OPEN DEVELOPMENT AREA over the property of N.S. Booth Town Clerk ~ETING OF MARC~ 20, 1959 A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at the office-of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Breenport, on Friday, March 20, 1959. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Booth. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded hy Justic~' Clark: WHEREAS, an application was made t6 the Southold Town Board under date of December 30, 1958 by Bessie Lee Hodges for permission to establish a Tourist Court (Camp Cottages) on her property on Seventh Street, Greenport, Town of Southold, N.Y. and W~EREAS, it is required by the Southold Town Ordinance providing for the regulation of Tourists Camps, house trailersCamps, house trailers or similar establishments, that a public hearing be held on the matter, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held at Village Hall in Greenport, o~Tuesday, January 20, 1959, at 2 o'clock P.M. and all persons attending such public hearing given ample opportunity to speak in favor of or in opposition to the application, the hearing was duly closed at 3:30 P.M. and the application was held for further deliberation of the Town Board. W~EREAS, all requirements have been complied with in accordance with the Ordinance, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: the the Town Board of the Town of Southold does hereby grant permission to Bessie Lee Hodges to establish and operate a Tourist Court (Camp Cottages) on the above mentioned site.
