The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with t~e followimg present: Supervisor Kli~. Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justmce Tuthlll; Superintendent of H'ighways Price; Town Attorney Tusker and Town ClerkBooth. The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against ~he~Town, concluding the audit work at 2:00 P.M. Moved by,Justice Tuthill; seconded by Councilman Demarest: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meeting of October 28 be and hereby ar? duly apProVed as read. The he~ring upon the pr eliminary budget was opened by the Supervisor at 2:00 O'clOck P.M. he read the call of the hearing and inquired if there were any person present who wished to be heard in favor or against the preliminary budget as compiled. 7¸8 Herbert Rosenherg spoke in favor of the preliminary budget and stated the Board had done a good Job. Stanley Corw~n and:~Robert Trubenbach inquired about items in the budget. ~TheSupervisor and Supt. of Highways anmwered their, questions satisfactorily. ~'No person present spoke against the preliminary budget as compiled. The hearing was duly closed at 2:35 P.M. Moved by COuncilman Demarest; seconded by CouncilmanAlbertson; WHERE.&S, The Town Board of the Town of Southold, N.Y. has met-at the time and place specified~in the notice of public hearing on the pre. liminary budget and Heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon; now therefore, be it RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of Southold does hereb~. adopt such preliminary budget as o~gimally compiled, as the a~u~ budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning on thelst davy of January, 19~9~ and that such budget as so adopted be entered tail in the minutes of the proceedings of this Town Board~ and be it further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Tow~ of Southold shall prepare and certify, in duplicate, copies of said annual budget as adopte!d~ by the Town Board of the Town of Southold~ together with the es%ima~tes, if any~ adopted pursuant to Section 202.a~ subd. 2~ of the TownLa~ and deliver one copy thereof to the Supervisor of this Town to be presented by him to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Suffolk.
