Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, October 14, 1958, The meeting: was called to order at 1130 P.M. with tho following present: Supgrvisor Klip~; Coun?ilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill, Clark and ~dwards, SUperintendent of ~ighways Price, Town Attorney Tasker~ and Town Clerk BOoth. The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claim~ against the Town concluding the audit work at.2:00 P.M. M~ved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Edwards: RESOI~ED: That the minutes of the meeting of September 24, and the meeting of OCtober 1st be and hereby are duly approved as read. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark~ RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport~ on Tuesday, October 28~1958, at 1:~0 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Edwards; Moved by Justice'Clark; seconded by Councilman Albertson: WHEREAS, it has been recommended by the Southold Town Board of Appeals that a fee of $15.00~ paid by Otto Lindermayer, Hortons Point~ South~ old, 'New'York~ on ApPeal ~103 dated September 19~ 1958, be returned~ Mr. Lindermayer having withdrawn his application, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES0~VED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be, and hereby is, directed to return the above mentioned fee. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and DemaFest~ Justices Tuthill, Clark and Edwards. At 2 o'clock P.M. in accordance with a notice published according to law, bids were opened for p=vposals to furnish to the Town of $outhold new Tax Accounting ~achines and Equipment. 0nly one bid was submitted which was by the Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Cpuncilman Albertson: RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be and hereby is directed to enter into a contract with the Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation for the purchase cf one new Model 9193 Tax Accounting Addressograph- Machine~ One new model 9~8 Addressograph Front Feed Electric proof- ing machine~ one new model 7100 Electric Addressograph Key Punch, Ten Thousand new G~-Z?-2-Z11A Addressograph Electric Cote Punched Frames, Ten Thousand new G~-27-2-510 Addressograph Alloy Sensing Plates, one new RD-Z1Addressograph Cabinet on Roller Base, One new RD-49 Addressograph cabinet on Roller Base, all machines fully equipped and supplies deliveredand installed in the Town Clerk Office ~or a total price of $1~993.40 with'trade-in allowance on old machine and equipment of $222.00. At 2 O'clock P.M. in accordance with a notice published according to law, bids were opened for proposals to furnish to the Town cf South- old 32,500 gallons of special grade gasoline for use by Southold Town Police and Southold Town Highway Department. 0nly one bid was submitted which was by the Socony Mobil 0il Company, Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Councilman D~marest: RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be and hereby is directed to enter into a contract with the Socony Mobile 0il Company for the p~rchase of 32,500 gallons of special grade gasoline at a price of .14~6 cents per gallon for use by Southold Town Police and Southold Town Highway Department or as much thereof as may be required during the period from November 1, 1958 to March 31, 1959. At 2 o'clock P.~. intacdordance:,with..a not£ce published according to law,~ bids_were opened._for.proposals.~o furnish, to. the Town of Southold sixty-five 7.50 x 14~ 4-ply nylon tubeless automobile tires. 0nly one bid was submitted which was by Paul*s Servioenter. The price submitted was $27.90 per tire. The matter was discussed by the Town Board and they came to a decision to re~eet the bid. Moved b~ Councilman Albertson~ seconded by Councilman Demarest: RESOLVED: That the bid which was submitted by Paul's 5ervtcenter for sixty-five nylon tubeless automobile tires for Southold Town Police cars be and hereby is rejected. Vot~ or,Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilmen Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthi11, Clark and Edwards. ~oved by Justice Edwards; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS, it is recommended by the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Island ~erry District that the Southold Town Board enter into a lease with the Department of ,the U. S. Army for a certain parcel of land fronting on Silver Eel Cove, approximately ~25~x125~, to gerber with build£ngs ~50 and T397 located at Fort H.G.Wright~ Fishers Island, New York~ and including the non-exclusive use of certain access roads, as shown in' red on Exhibit "A"~ which is a map showing Silver Eel Cove and vicinity~ attached to the lease and made a part thereof, in the amount of $1o00 for a period beginning October 1~ 1958, and ending September 30, 1959, payable in advance to the Treasurer of the United ~tates and forwarded by a licensee to the District Engineer, U.S, Army Engineer District~ New York,~aCorps of Engineers~ 111 Eaat 16th Street, New York 3, New York, Now, Therefore, B~ It RESOLVED: That Norman E,. Klipp~ Supervisor, be and he hereby is direct- ed to approve and sign the above mentioned lease.
