Martocchia, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York, at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 1975, ~th ~he following present: Supervisor Albert M. Martocchia Councilman James H. Rich, Jr. Councilman James Homan Justice Martin Suter Justice Louis M. Demarest Town Attorney Robert W. ~asker Town Clerk Albert W. Richmond Highway Superintendent Rgymond C. Dean Absent: Justice Francis T~ Doyen . On motion of Justice Suter, seconded by Council~n Rich, it was RESOLVED that the minutes of the Southold Town Board meeting held January 28, k975 be approved as submitted. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, C~uncilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justiee Demarest. On motion of Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter, it was RESOLVED that the next meeting of the Southold Town Board will ~e held at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 25, 1975 at the office of Supervisor Albert M Martocchia, 16 South Street, Greenport, New York. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. On motion of Councilman Rich, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED that the January reports of the Building Inspector, Supervisor M~rtocchia, Justice Suter and Town Clerk Richmond be accepted and-placed on file. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocch~ Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. On motion of Councilman Rich, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board support the Suffolk County Department of Labor in their application to the federal government for financial assistance under Title VI of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. On motion of Councilman Homan, seconded by CQahcilman Rich, it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board authorize the payment of $455.00 voucher ~f Philip Kenter, consultant for the Cablevision franchise. Vo~e of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rihh, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. On motion of Justice Demarest, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board require Chemical Bank, in lieu of Security National Bank, Southold, New York, to deposit with the Town Board bonds or certificates of the United States, of the State of New York, or any County, town, city, village or school district of the State of New York as security for such funds so deposited, but such bond or certificate shall be subject to the approval of the Town Board and shall be deposited in such place and held under such conditions as the Town Board may determine. Amount of security required for Chemical Bank is $500,000.00. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan,~ ~Justice Suter,.Justice Demarest. On motion of Councilman Homan, seconded by Justice Suter, it was RESOLVED that Supervisor Martocchia be and he hereby is authorized to examine the possibility of engaging Chemical Bank to process the payroll. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, .Councilman~ Homart, Justice Surer, Justi.ce Demarest. On motion of Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOL~ED that this Town Board meeting be reces~sed at 4:10 P.M., to reconvene at 5:00 P.M. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice. Demarest. Meeting reconvened at.5~0D On motion of Councilman Homan,. seconded by Justice Demarest, it was RESULVED that the following bills be approved as corrected: ~ ~C~e~eral Fund bills in the amount of $29,657.73; Special District bills in the amount o£. $40,921.63; Fishers,Island Ferry ~istrict bills in the am~unt~of $15,941.41; Highway bills in the amount of $16,681.99; and Federal Revenue Sharing bills in the amoun~ of $1,168.19~ Vote of the Town Board:~ Ayes: Supervisor Martocc~ia, CQunc~ilman Rich, CounciTman Homan, Justice Sute~, Justice Demarest. The Town Board r.eceived a petition signed by many residents in the Goose Cre.ek area, requesting that that area become a ~ildli.fe sanctuary. Several'. interested citizens appeared before the Town Board to voice their concern abou~t~the Eastern Long Is~and..~ospi~al. situation. Meeting adjourned at 5:15 P.M. Albert W. Richmond Town Clerk
