Dear Mr. Kuoppala;
We are in receipt of your Special Exception application, submitted on February 19, 2025, requesting a
permit to construct two Contractor Business Buildings upon the above referenced premises.
In accordance with Part 617 pertaining to Article 8 (State Environmental Quality Review Act) of the
Environmental Law. (New York State Department of Conservation), the application will require a
review by the Southold Town Planning Board, which may include a coordinated review, in order to
classify the SEQR action and make a determination of significance; i.e. whether or not the proposed
action will have a significant adverse impact on the environment. Please see

Please contact the Planning Department at 631-765-1938 to review your application with them and
submit any additional information they may require so that they can commence a SEQRA review.
Once the proposed action has been classified and a determination of significance has been completed,
the Zoning Board of Appeals can then schedule a public hearing date for your special exception
application.
