The hearing was held by the Zoning Board of Appeals on August 7, 2025. Mr. Strong's engineer testified and there was discussion concerning the methodology of determining the building height. There was no opposition. As requested the applicant submitted additional prints showing the storage building as depicted on the latest site plan. Nothing fiirther was heard in September. The matter was scheduled for October 2, 2025. That date was cancelled at the last minute. The applicant has now been advised this may be held over to January 2026, not necessarily for determination, but for further proceeding. This is virtually impossible to understand, particularly since the applicant advised it would accept a reversal of the Building Inspector's decision as opposed to a universal interpretation. There has been no information as to why this application will have been held in suspension for 5, perhaps 6 months. Delay creates suspicion. This mathematical question could have been decided without a Zoning Board hearing. Nevertheless, the applicant proceeded as directed and made a presentation before the Zoning Board. That it would be five, perhaps more months, to make a determination is not simply a delay but cause for great concern. There is considerable discussion about a new Town Code and what should be included and its effect. Here, not the Code, but the process and unexplained delay victimizes the applicant. On behalf of the applicant please change the requested relief in this matter to a reversal of the Building Inspector's determination.
