Follow up on Board action items. Ensure we are ready for next Summit meeting on 10/15. Meet proposed new Member—Richard Vandenburgh (resume attached) Meet Guest—Heather Huerta, Youth Bureau Director Action items from 8/19 Town Board Meeting Follow-up -Meet with Mayor Kevin Steussi (Greenport)to develop a strategy to foster economic growth.Jack to schedule this meeting. E mail sent to Kevin. No reply yet.. -Met with the Transportation Commission on September 15, 2025, regarding road closure for WinterFest. Commission resolved to support the road closure. Housing Authority -Lucine to attend future Housing Authority Commission meetings. Lucine to provide status. Community Engagement -Jack attended the North Fork Business Advisory Board meeting on September 12, 2025.Jack will provide ststus. Directory and Event Calendar -Paul and Brent will continue efforts to collaborate on creating a business directory and community event calendar. Paul and Brent will provide status. Partnerships with Local Organizations -The Committee agreed to establish stronger working relationships with local civic and service groups: Civics—Jack Rotary—Brian Lions—Jennifer Chambers—Paul Members to provide status. Town Beautification -Tabled from last meeting. Develop a strategy for town beautification. One of our Synergy Summit goals. Develop budget. (Amanda). Synergy Summit -Update from 9/29 meeting. Holiday Events Darren (Historical Museum) shared ideas for a town Christmas event, including a holiday stroll, candlelight tour and tree lighting. Additional suggestions, reach out to the Southold Fire Department to participate, possibly with food offerings on parade day. Encourage local restaurants to provide a special pre fixe menus before and after the parade. Two holiday strolls are planned for December 6,2025 and December 12, 2025. Winterfest Planning will begin once the Committee receives approval from the Town Board outstanding issues.
