HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-12/15/1977:388 SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD December lg, 197~ WAIVER OF NOTICE OF TOWN BOARD'~IEETING WE, the undersinged, b~ing members of the.Town Board of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, do hereby severally waive notice of the time, place and purpose of the, meeting of the Town Board to be held at 1:00~ P.M. in the Town of Southold, on December 16, 1977 and do hereby consent that the same be held on said date for the transaction of any business which may properly come before said meeting. Rich, Jr., Councilman /s/ James Homan Councilman A special meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, December 15, 1977 at the Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York. There were present: Supervisor Albert M. Martocchia Councilman ~ames H. Rich, Jr. Councilman James Homan Justice Martin Suter Justice Louis M. Dmmarest Town Attorn~'y Robert W. Terry Moved by Councilman Homan, seconded by Justice Demarest, WHEREAS the Southold Town BoaDd by resolution dated November 22, 1977 advertised for sealed bi~s for the general construction of the Town Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356, and WHEREAS on December 8, 1977 at 10:00 A.M. six sealed bids were received and opened and the firm of Minnesota Construction Corp., 24 Fort Salonga Road Road, Centerport, New York was determined to be the lowest respobsible bidder, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED that Minnesota Construction Corp, 24 Fort Salonga Road, Centerport, New York be and hereby is awarded the contract for the general construction of the Town Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356 at the ned bid price of $146,000.00 (Base Bid $160,000.00, accepting the alternates 2, 8, 10, 12, 15 - $14,000.00), and be it further RESOLVED that Supervisor Albert M. Martocchia be and he hereby is authorieed to enter into a contract with Minnesota Construction Corp. for the general construction of the Town Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356. Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter, WHEREAS the Southold Town Board by resolution dated October 28, 1977 advertised for sealed bids for the To~m Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356, and WHEREAS on November 22, 1977 at 10:00 A.M. two sealed bids were received and opened for the plumbing contract and the firm of Metro Plumbing East, P.O. Box 347, Aquebofue, New York wws determined to be the lowest respobsible bidder, now , therefore, be it RESOLVED that Metro Plumbing East, P.O. Box 347, Aquebogue, New York be and hereby is awarded the contract for plumbing installation in the Town Hall addition, Federal Project No. G1-51-22356 at the net bid proce .of $19,264.00 (Base bid $22,164.00, accepting alternate 4 0 $2,900~), and be it frther RESOLVED that Supervisor Albert M. Martocch~a be and he hereby is authorized to ~en~er into a contract with Metro Plumbing East ~or the plumbing installation in theTown Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. This resolution wa~ declared duly adopted. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded bY Councilman Homan, WHEREAS the Southold Town Board by resolution dated October 28, 1977 advertised for sealed bids for the Town Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356, and WHEREAS on November 22, 1977 at 10:00 A.M. one sealed bid mas received and opened for the heating and air conditioning contract and the firm of Mo'rch~l Inc., Main Road, Mattituck, New York was determined to be the lowest responsible bidder, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED that Morchel, Inc, Main Road, Mattituck, New York be and hereby is awarded the contract for the hearing and ~ir conditioning installation in the Town Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356 at the net bid price of $39~200.00 (Base bid $39,800.00, accepting alternate 1 $600.00), and be it further RESOLVED that Supervisor Albert M. Martocchia be and he hereby is authorized to ~nter into a contract with Mo~chet,Inc. for the heating and air conditioning installation in the Town Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356. Vote of theTown Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homart, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. This resolution was declared duly adopted. Moved by Councilman Rich, seconded by Councilman Homan, WHEREAS the Southold Town Board by resolution dated October 29, 1977 advertised for sealed bids for the Town Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356, and WHEREAS on November 22, 1977 at 10:00 A.M. three sealed bids were recelved and opened for the electrical contract, and the firm of Roldnd's Electric, Inc., 496 Jerusalem Avenue, Uniondal~, New York was dtermined to be the lowest responsible bidder, now, therefore, be it RESOLVED that Roland's Electric, Inc., 496 Jerusalem Avenue, Uniondale, New York be and hereby is awarded the contract for electrical installation in the Town ~all Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356 at the net bid price of $16,770.00. (Base bid $18,345.00, accepting alternate 1 - $1575.00), and be it further RESOLVED that Supervisor Albert M. Martocchia be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a contract with Roland's Electric Inc., for the electrical installation in the Town Hall Addition, Federal Project No. 01-51-22356. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest~ This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Councilman ~oman, seconded by Justice Demarest, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold encumber the sum~ of $30,000.00 from the 1977 Federal Revenue Sharing Budget, Item CF 4. 3.$9 390 Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman t{oman, Justice suter, Justice Demarest. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Ri6h, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town'of Southold transmit a letter t~ the New York State Parks and Recreation Agency, Commis- ioner for Histroic Preservation ~tating 'their intent to sell the present town hall structure, located where the new town hall addition wing will be constructed, to a local school, church or historical society. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. This resolution was declared duly~adopted. - ~ On motion of Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was RESOLVED that there being no further~business to come before this town board meeting adjournmen~ be called at 2:30 P.M.
