They lack resources to enforce codes we already have Community Character Architectural Review Committee should have more input on style of buiildings Community Character Hotels should have two-story limit in height - we don’t want to look like Riverhead Community Character How can we preserve farmland that runs along Route 48, headed east out of Mattituck Community Character We need to preserve wooded areas/trees Community Character Residential house size - need to create and enforce limits Community Character Light pollution and traffic are problems with more development Community Character Maritime activities, hamlets and agriculture should be protected - they are specific to our community chaacter Economic Development Allow restaurants to exist in Transitional zones to allow more small buisness to grow Economic Development Transitional zones are a huge plus Economic Development Balance between small businesses and development will be needed to preserve character Economic Development The code does not find a balance between retaining local businesses and preventing local development Farms We are not happy with the agri-entertainment - congested traffic creates great danger for emergency situations Farms Farmers need agri-tainment, we need traffic solutions Farms Need to promote soil conservation, erision and runoff prevention Farms Sod farms put a strain on water and we see sprinklers on when its raining Farms Protect the farms we have now Housing Affordability Traffic concerns should be higher priority than building more apartments - can we charge a toll during busy times to profit the town?
