Sol Searcher Consulting on behalf of PATRICIA MELE & CHERYL CHRISTIANO
requests a Wetland Permit to remove and replace in place ±50' long wood bulkhead;
add a 12' northern return; remove and replace 16' southern return; raise the elevation of
the bulkhead and two returns 12 inches higher than existing elevation; bulkhead and
returns to be constructed using vinyl sheathing with 10" diameter pilings 6' on-center,
6"x6"whalers, and tie-rods leading to a backing system consisting of helix screws and a
fiberglass grated cap; remove existing permitted fixed catwalk and construct new 19'x4'
catwalk using Thru-Flow decking supported by 10" diameter pilings; re-install existing
permitted ramp to 6'x20' floating dock; as-built 13'x13' stone and brick patio; and to
establish and perpetually maintain the existing 14'wide non-turf buffer located along the
landward edge of the bulkhead. Located: 1140 Deep Hole Drive, Mattituck. SCTM#
1000-115-12-16
The proposed replacement of the dock structure is recommended as CONSISTENT with the LWRP.
The as-built 13' x 13' stone and brick patio is recommended as INCONSISTENT with the LWRP.
1. The as-built 13' x 13' stone and brick patio is setback 14' from a marine wetland
(bulkhead) and was constructed without Board of Trustee review or permits.
2. If approved and to further Policy 6, maximize vegetated buffers landward from the
wetland system.
Pursuant to Chapter 268, the Board of Trustees shall consider this recommendation in preparing its
written determination regarding the consistency of the proposed action.

A. INSTRUCTIONS Planning Board
1. All applicants for permits* including Town of Southold agencies, shall complete this CCAF for
proposed actions that are subject to the Town of Southold waterfront Consistency Review Law. This
assessment is intended to supplement other information used by a Town of Southold agency in
making a determination of consistency. *Except minor exempt actions including Building Permits
and other ministerial permits not located within the Coastal Erosion Hazard Area.
2. Before answering the questions in Section C, the preparer of this form should review the exempt
minor action list, policies and explanations of each policy contained in the Town of Southold Local
Waterfront Revitalization Program. A proposed action will be evaluated as to its sioxificant
beneficial and adverse effects upon the coastal area(which includes all of Southold Town)
3. if any question in Section C on this form is answered "yes" or "no", then the proposed action will
affect the achievement of the LWRP policy standards and conditions contained in the consistency
review law. Thus, each. answer must be explained in details listinII both supporting and non-
supportina.facts. If an action cannot be certified as consistent with the LWRP policy standards and
conditions,it shall not be undertaken.
