HomeMy WebLinkAboutTB-03/11/1958MEETING OF MARCH 11: 1958. The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at GreenPort~ on Tuesday~ March ll~ 1958. The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; CoUncilman Albertson and Demarest; Justices Tuthill, Clark~and Edwards; Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Tasker and Town Clerk Booth. ~he Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against the~.Town~ concluding the audit work at 2:00 o'clock P.M. Mr. George L. Penny~ 3rd~ and five Boy Scouts of Mattituck attsnded the meeting. Their purpose was to acquire some knowledge of how the Town Governmen~ is conducted. Supervisor Klipp introdUced them to the Town Officers and explained to them the duty of each officer. He then g~ve.them an excellent detailed account of the way the Town Government is managed. Ziegler have applied to the Town Board for a permit to operate a Trailer Camp for the year 1958, and WHEREAS, the Building Inspector has stated that the Trailer Camp Ordinance requirements of Charles and Florence Ziegler are substant- ially complied withy NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board does hereby grant a permit to Charles O. and Florence A. Ziegler to operate a Trailer Camp at East Marion~ N.Y. for the year 1958, providing that they do not have more than three trailers at the camp. BE IT RESOLVED: this llth day of March~ 19~8, by the Town of Sout~old~ Suffolk County, New Y~rk~ as felloWs: SECTION 1. That~ pursuant to the provisions of Subdivision 2 of Paragraph a and paragraph e of Section 29, and Section 108 of the Local Finance Law~ Section 93 of the Social Welfare L~w and Section ll~ of the Town Law, for the purpose of paying the cost of home relief expenditures for which insufficient provision was made in ~he annual budget for the year 1958~ there is hereby appropriated as a supplemental appropriation for home relief, the sum of and there is hereby authorized to be issued, a budget note of the Town of Southold in the principal amount Of $5~0OO.00 which is the ~a~imum Cost of such object or purpose~ which note shall mature on Ma~h ll, 1959.
