Administrative Vacation Time
WHEREAS, the Town of Southold Administrative Employee Handbook provides for certain
benefits to administrative employees, including vacation time off; and
WHEREAS, the benefit provides that unused vacation time in excess of 12 days will be paid
out, unless a resolution is adopted by the Town Board to authorize the carry-over of such
days; now therefore be it

RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby amends Resolution
Number 2025-581 to read as follows:
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby appoints Richard
Caagiano to the position of Part-Time Assessor for the Assessors Office effective August 4,
2025, at a rate of$55.00 per hour. The appointment is considered temporary and will expire
upon the return of the elected official or December 31, 2025, whichever occurs earlier.

Peconic Landing Fireworks Permit
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby approves the issuance of
a fireworks permit by the Town Clerk to Peconic Landing at Southold, Inc. for a fireworks
display on Sunday, August 31st,2025 at 8:00 PM (Rain Date: September 1st, 2025 at 8:00
PM), on the Peconic Landing's property at 1500 Brecknock Road, Greenport,New York,
subject to the applicant's compliance with the requirements of the Town's policy regarding
the issuance of fireworks permits. Roadway in Peconic Landing to be secured during the
show. Compliance with any other state or federal agencies if so deemed. Greenport Fire
Department to be updated by applicant.

Waste Zero Contract Extension
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby authorizes Deputy
Supervisor John Stype to execute an extension agreement between the Town of Southold
and Waste Zero for the supply of town garbage bags as a sole source supplier, on the same
terms and conditions as outlined in their bid opened on October 14, 2021 and awarded on
October 19, 2021, for a period of one year to expire on December 31, 2026 with a one year
option, subject to Town Attorney review, Budget Line SR.8160.4.100.650.

ORDER CALLING FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING TO BE HELD ON
SEPTEMBER 9, 2025
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Southold (herein called the
"Town"), in the County of Suffolk, New York, on behalf of the Southold Solid Waste
Management District, in the Town (herein called the "District"), has determined that it is in
the best interests of the District to increase and improve the facilities of the District, by the
acquisition of a payloader at an estimated maximum cost not to exceed $370,000, pursuant
to Section 202-b of the Town Law; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board, as lead agency, has given due consideration to
the impact that the project may have upon the environment and, on the basis of such
consideration, the Town Board, acting as Lead Agency, pursuant to the New York State
Environmental Quality Review Act (hereinafter sometimes called "SEQRA") has found and
determined that the project is a Type II Action and no further environmental review is
required;
Now, therefore, be it
ORDERED, that a meeting of the Town Board of the Town be held at the
Town Hall, 53095 Main Road, Southold, New York, on the September 9, 2025 at 4:30 P.M.
(Prevailing Time) to consider said increase and improvement of facilities of the District and
to hear all persons interested in the subject thereof concerning the same and for such other
action on the part of the Town Board with relation thereto as may be required by law; and be
it,
FURTHER ORDERED, that the Town Clerk publish at least once in the
"The Suffolk Times," hereby designated as the official newspaper of the Town for such
publication, and post on the sign board of the Town maintained pursuant to subdivision 6 of
Section 30 of the Town Law, a Notice of such public hearing in substantially the form
appearing in Exhibit A, certified by said Town Clerk, the first publication thereof and said
posting to be not less than ten (10) nor more than twenty (20) days before the date of such
public hearing.

Performance Bond Reduction
WHEREAS, on March 28, 2023, in Resolution 2023-315, the Town Board of the Town
Southold accepted a performance security in the amount of$71,952.00 in the form of an
official bank check from CitiBank, check 9116497118, on behalf of the Pederson Standard
Subdivision, SCTM91000-21.-3-15, located at 670 Circle Drive, East Marion; and
WHEREAS, on July 15, 2025, the applicant, submitted a request to reduce the bond amount;
and
WHEREAS, on August 11, 2025, the Planning Board recommended that the performance
bond be reduced to $24,020.00; be it therefore

Pace Scheduler-provide scheduling software and services to the Police Department
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby accepts the proposal of
Pace Scheduler dated August 11, 2025 to provide scheduling software and services to the
Police Department for a period of one year, in an amount not to exceed $4,800, and hereby
authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Albert J. Krupski Jr. or Chief of Police, Steven
Grattan, to execute a one-year agreement with Pace Scheduler to engage such services,
subject to Town Attorney review and approval. Budget line A.3120.4.600.125.
