GREENPORT 7-1652 July 2o, 1965 Southold Town Manning Board ilain Street Southold, N.Y: Ra: Drainage at NSattituck ,states Gentlemen: A preliminary investigation of the possibility of a dike to hold the run-off from Mattituek Estates at New Suffolk Avenue revealed that the water level of the pond could not be maintained over 1 foot above the normal high water without unendating the adjacent property owners. At present there is a culvert under Bew Suffolk Avenue, but the tide flow is restricted by racks on sides of the road. There are two possibilities for this area to damed2. 1. Construction of dike around either inlet or outlet of culvert under New Suffolk Avenue with a flapper valve adn invert of -pipe at an elevation of one foot above the present high tide level. 2. Construction of dtike along property of Russell Tuthill and across the property of Chester B.
