MEETING OF NOVEMBER 7, 1957.
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp
at Greenport, on Thursday~ November 7~ 19~7, The meeting was called to
order at '1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp;
Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest~ Superinten-
dent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims against
the Town concluding the Audit work at 2:00 o'clock P.M.

WHEREAS, the Petition of Ursual Sled$ieski and Lawrence Waitz, relative
to change of zone was denied by the Planning Board, ~he case was re-
ferred to the Board of Appeals who held a hearing for Variance.
Variance was denied but an agreement was reached whereby necessary
~m~ rogms would ~e attached to present dwelling and the Building
Inspec$or~ was ordered to issue necessary permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp bm
and he~lherebYlis authorized and directed to return to Robert W. Tasker
the $2~.09 ~e which accompanied the petition. -

certain number of tires.

RESOLVED: That the annual Highway estimates and budget of the Tow~ of
Southold for the fiscal year beginning January l~ 19~8, pursuant to
Section l$1 and 267 of the Highway Law and Section lll~ ll2 and ll3 of
the ToWn Law be and hereby are approved~ and be it furthe~
RESOLVED: That one copy be delivered to the Supervisor fo~ presentment
by him to the Board of Supervisors.

RESOLVED: Charles H. Eotteveel of Southold be and he hereby is appointed
School Traffic Officer to direct traffic at the intersection of Oaklawn
Avenue and Eoute 25~ Southold~ New York~ at a salary of $6o%0 per day
for~each school d~y worked, effective as of November 12~ 1957~ he to serve
at the pleasure of the Town Board.

RESOLVED: That Irving M. Rogers~ of Greenport~ Mary Ann Zito, of Fishers
Island~ Ralph Cox~ of Mattituck, and Norman Pemberton~ of Southold,
be and they are hereby appointed Dog Enumerators for the Town of Southold
for the year 1958.
Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman ~lbertson;
Justices Tuthill~ Clark and Demarest.
The Town Board canvassed the ballot cast for the Library sppr0priations
in the General Election of November 5~ 1957. The vote was as follows:
Yes~ 13%7 No- 689.
The proposition to appropriate toe sum of $17,500.00 annually for the
support of the Public Libraries of Southold Town for the fiscal years
19%8~19%9, was declared passed.

RESOLUTION OF T0$fN BOARD ADOPTING ANNUAL BUDGET WITHOUT AMENDMENT
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest:
WHEREAS, Th~ Town Board of the Town of Southold has met at the t~me
and place specified in the notice of public hearing on the preliminary
budget and heard all persons desiring to be heard thereon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of
Southold does hereby adopt such preliminary budget as originally com-
piled~ as the annual budget of this Town for the fiscal year beginning
on the 1st day of. January~ 1958~ and that suc$ budget as so adopted
be enterd in detail~in the minutes of the proceedings of this Town
Board~ and be it further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold shall prepare
and certify~ in dUPlicate, copies of said annual budget as adopted by
the Town Board of~ the Town of Southold, together With the estimates,
if any., adopted pursuant to Section 202~a, subdo 2, of the Town Law'
and d~iiver one copy thereof to the Supervisor of this Town to be pre-
sented by him to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Suffolk.
