MEETING OF AUGUST 6, 19~?.
The Southeld Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E.
Klipp at.Greenport, on Tuesday, August 6, 1957. The me~ting was
cal~ed t0'~0rder at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor
Klipp; CoUncilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest;
Town ~tt0rney Terry and Tow~ Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examin~ claims
against the Town concluding the audit work at 2 o'clock P.M.

are duly approved as read. .

RESOLVEDi: That Supmvisor Norman E. Klipp be and hereby is author-
ized to insert a half page advertisement in the one hundredth
Anniversary editio~ of the Suffolk Times at a cost of $~6.00.
The text of said advertisement is to be determined and approved
by the Supervisor.

A communication was received from Russell L. Davison in regard to
having a traffic light installed at the intersection of Youngs Ave
and RoUte 2~. ·
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
RESOLVED.: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be authorized to contact
the Department of Public Works and request that a traffic count be
made at the ~nters?ction of Youngs AVenue and Route 2~.

RESOLVED: That Bond No. 702~1 issued by the Glens Falls Insurance

be and ~ereby is approved as to its form, manner of execution and
sufficiency of surities therein.

WHEREAS, the Town Superintendent of Hi on the 9 day of July~
1957, duly recommend the purchase of
the provisions of Section 1~2 of the
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 1~2 ~of~the
Highway Law the TownSuperint~ndent of Highways is hereby'aUthorized
to purchase, in accordance With the provisions of Article 5-A of the
General Municipal Law, with the approval of the County Superintendent
of Highways, the following:
One (1) -~ cubic yard Haiss High Power Excavating Bucket,. ~ABtFE,
with 6 teeth, weighing ~000 lbd., delivered to Peconi~
for a maximum price of One Thousand Four Hundred
Dollars ($1,~70.00), delivered at Peconic, L.I.,
delivered on or about August ~0, 19%7.
The Town. Superintendent of Highway~ is hereby authorized, subject.
to the approval Of the County Superintendent of Highways, to surrender
to the vendor

A contract of purchase for the item purchased shall be duly. execu~ed~
between the Town Superintendent of Highways and such vendor, and when
duly approved by the County Superintendent of Highways, it shall become
effective. When such contract has been duly executed and approved,
the Supervisor is authorized to complete such purchase ~pon delivery
of the ~tem purchased in accordance with the terms of such resolutio~
and such contract, and to pay the above amount specified to b~ paid
by check
by a check drawn on the Mchinery Fund (Item ~) for $1,~70.00.
