A public hearing was held by the Southold Town Beard at the office of
Supervisor Norman E. Klipp.at GreenpOrt, on ~e~nesday,~ July 25, 19~7~

Clerk Boo'~th. This hearing Was on the proposal to amend the Building
Zone Ordinance~ef the Town of Southold by changing from "a" Residential
and Agricultural District to "B" Business District on a pa~c~ of
land in Southold. Also bY changing from "A" REsidential and'A~i6~ltural
District~ t'o ~"C" Industrial District' on a parcel of Land in'Mattituc~,
The Supervisor opened the hearing at 7:00 P.M~ and read the.call ef~
the mee~ting. He then called upon anyperSon~present who ~peak
either for or against ~the proposal to amend theBUilding n'-
anceon thea~foresaid parcels of. land.
The hearingi~was duly'clo~ed at 7.30 P.ML The minutes of this hearing

WHEREAS, HOWARD M. TERRY~ wa~ heretofore appointed enforcement
officer for the~Multipl~ Residence 'LaY and Building Inspector ~
-for enforcement of the Building Zone 0rdina~ce of the Town of
Southold, all on a part-time basis, and
WHEREAS, it is the.considered Opinion of .the members of~the
SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD that the proper and efficient enforcement
of'said.building zone ordinance and the multiple residence law
necessitates the services of a full time inspector, at l~ast
an~il December ~l, 19~7,
NOW~ THEREFORE, ~BE IT RESOLVED that HOWARD M. TERRY ~be a~d he
hereby is appointed enforcement officer for both t~e M~t~ipTe~
Residence Law and-the said Building Zone ordinance on a f~I time
basis fora term commencing August l, 19~7 and expiring on December
31, 1957; and
BE IT EURTHER RESOLVED THAT his compens~$tion be and it herebyis
