Dear Ms. Lanza,
I hope you're doing well. I’m reaching out to request that the proposed zoning for my property at 200 Tabor
Road, Orient, NY 11957, be changed from Rural Business II to Corridor Business.
My property is located along Route 25, a key route in our area, and I believe it makes sense for it to be zoned
Corridor Business, given its location and the potential need for more business opportunities in our hamlet of
Orient. Currently, there are very few properties zoned for business use in our area, and I think it’s important to
have places where businesses can operate as community needs evolve. Corridor Business zoning would allow
for a wider variety of uses that align with the character of our community.
I also believe the two properties adjacent to mine, which are also under consideration for zoning changes,
should be zoned Corridor Business for the same reasons. A consistent approach to zoning in this area would
make sense and help promote the development of a vibrant, well-planned community.
