Memo from the Suffolk County Department of Emergency Preparedness concerning home heating emergencies, and what steps are to be taken should there be a problem in Southold Town of either a fuel oil shortage or heated shelter is needed. 2. Memo from the County of Suffolk, Department of Emergency ~reparedness concerning Local Emergency Preparedness in the event of a disaster. 3. Letter from Supervisor Homan to Sacco & Ahlers concerning the finished and unfinished contracts for the Southold Senior Citizen/Youth Center. A meeting was held on December 17th with rye contractors and the architect. As of this point in time the Town expects the exterior doors and necessary work that is to be done by the general contractor to be completed by this weekend. If that is the case the Town will probably take possession either this weekend or some time early next week~ subject to the architect's approval. 4. Receipt of application from Paul A. Hunter for the position of Bay Constable. 5. Receipt of SPDES Schedule of Compliance Reminder from the DEC relative to the Scavenger Site (.Disposal Area), Cutchogue, and the 201 Wastewa%er Report. The Town is in compliance pending approval of the DEC of the report. 6J Advertisement for bids for space from the U.S. Postal Service. They are interested in relocating the Southold Post Office. The location should be in the following general a~ea: Main Street with boundary of Hortons Lane and Youngs Avenue. 7. Letter from the North Fork Taxpayers Association, Inc. giuing their views on the proposed New York State Fire Prevention Code. They have voted unanimously to oppose the adoption of the New York State Fire Prevention Code. 8. Notice from the Suffolk county Department of Labor that Gerald King, chef at the Nutri~i0n Center, has been placed on a waiver list in the Handicapped category, for continuation of CETA personnel. 9. Application of George L. Penny IV for a position on the Board of Appeals. 10. Letter from the North Fork Environmental Council, Inc. relative to application for a wetland permit by Goose Bay Civic Association, Inc. This letter will be read at the public hearing which will be held at 3:30 P.'M. this date. 11. Notification from Chief Cataldo of the names of the individuals who will be attending the Police Academy for training in relation to part-time summer special policemen. 12. Letter from the Southold Town conservation Advisory Council recommending that Frank Cichanowicz III be appointed chairman of the Council effective January 1, 1980. This will be turned over to Mr. Pell for action after the first of the year. 13. Letter from the New York State DEC concerning a meeting which was held by the Long Island Groundwater Coordinating Comm- ittee on December 14th at 10 AM at Stony Brook. They have asked that the Board appoint someone to act in behalf of the Town on this committee. RESOLUTIONS On motion of Councilman Pell, seconded by Councilman Drum, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southotd approves the addition of six (6) new street lights in needed areas throughout the village on Fishers Island at an increase of $38.50 per month. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Justice Tedeschi, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Pell, Councilman Drum, Supervisor Homan. This resolution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Counc'%lman Nickles, seconded by Councilman Pell, it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board declares itself lead agency in regard to the State Env±ronmental Quality Review' Act in the matter of the application of Maidstone Development, Inc. for a change of zone from "A" Residential and Agricultural District to "M-l" General Multiple Residence District on certain property located on the North Road, Greenport, New York. On motion of Councilman Nickles, seconded by Councilman Pell, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Tow~ of Southold approves the action of the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District in setting the salary of Secretary-Manager of the Ferry District RObert P. On motion of Councilman Drum, seconded by Councilman Pell, it was RESOLVED that the Town Clerk be and she hereby is authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the purchase of heating fuel oil for the buildings of the Town of Southold for the calendar year 1980. On motion of Councilman Nickles, seconded by Justice Tedeschi, it was RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board declares itself lead agency in regard to the State Environmental Quality Review Act in the matter of the application of David S. Strong for a wetland permit at Strong's Mattituck Marina, James Creek, Camp Mineola Road, Mattituck, New Y0rk. Moved by Councilman Nickles, seconded by Councilman Drum, WHEREAS George Ahlers and Barbara Reynolds have made application to the Town Board of the Town of Southold to dedicate a certain road in Southold, New York, to be known as "WEST HILL ROAD, as shown on Map of Claves Neck, filed in the Office of the Clerk of the County of Suffolk on February 15, 1972 as Map No. 5673, together with release executed by the owner thereof, and WHEREAS, the Southold Town Highway Superintendent has inspected th~ said highway and has advised the Town Board that said proposed high- way complies in all respects with the specifications for the dedication of highways in the Town of Southold, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in accordance with Section 271 of the Highway Law of the State of New York, consent be and the same:_~S~g~ven to the Superintendent of Highways to make an o~der laying out~the aforesaid highway, to consist of lands described in application as shown on certain maps attached to said application, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Clerk be and she hereby is authorized and directed to forthwith cause the dedication and release be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the County of Suffolk, New York.
