Minutes & Discussion Notes from Meeting held
Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 7:00 p.m.
This Regular Meeting was held in the Annex Executive Board Room, located on the 2nd floor at Southold
Town Hall Annex, 54375 Route 25(Main Road), Southold, New York.
The public had access to view and listen to the meeting as it was happening via Zoom. If an attendee did
not have access to a computer or smartphone, there was an option to listen in via telephone.
Comments from the public may not be solicited nor received without an appointment. It is expected that
the Committee will enter into Executive Session*at some point after opening the Regular Meeting for the
purpose of discussing applications regarding proposed acquisitions of real property where publicity
would substantially affect the value thereof. The public is not allowed to attend, view, or listen to
Executive Session.

Commencement
• All "Attendees" will be dismissed from this meeting upon the Committee's Motion to enter into
Executive Session.
• The meeting began at 7:00 p.m. with 6 LPC members present.
Committee Minutes and Administration
• Acceptance of LPC meeting minutes from June 17, 2025
MOTION made by Anne Murray, seconded by Sam McCullough, to accept the June 17, 2025
LPC meeting minutes as revised after discussion.
Motion carried: 5/0/1 (Kim abstained, as she was absent)
• Next LPC Meeting Date: July 15, 2025
Lilly reviewed agricultural zoning on building descriptions and site plan vs no site plan.
General Preservation
• Review of Agriculture-Related Definitions and Use Regulations in the Proposed Zoning Code
[continued from 6/17]
The Committee continued to review the draft definitions of agriculture-related terms and
regulations in the proposed zoning code update. The Committee discussed definitions and
regulations for Farm Seasonal Worker Housing, Farm Work Housing, Fish Processing, and
Greenhouse(Permanent), Greenhouse(Temporary).
Committee discussion focused on farm worker housing, particularly the merits of scaling based
on employee payroll, the need for regulation of seasonal housing beyond what the County and
State require, the permanence of structures, and conversion or cessation of their use if a farm
operation is no longer bona fide.
