Home My WebLink AboutTB-10/27/1981-S405 SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD OCTOBER 27, 1981 A Special Meeting of the Southold Town Board was held at 4:30 P.M., Tuesday, October 27, 1981 at the Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York. Present: Absent: Supervisor William R. Poll, III Councilman Henry W. Drum Councilman John J. Nickles Councilman Lawrence Murdock, Jr. Councilman Francis J. Murphy * * * Town Clerk Judith T. Terry Justice Francis T. Doyen Supervsior Poll explained that this meeting 1was called to reject the bids for the weatherization of the Senior/Youth Center, Peconic. Due to the defect in the advertisement of the bid, Pan Tech Energy Systems failed to noti£y bidders that they must attend the walk- through on October 19th at 10:30 A.M. to be eligible to bid. Secondly, Pan Tech advised bidders that bids would also be accepted at their office in Babylon. The legal notice specified that bids would only be received by the Southold Town Clerk for opening at 10:30 A.M., Monday, October 26th. On motion of Councilman Drum, seconded by Councilman Murdock, it was RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold reject the bids of C.P.Chemical Company, Inc., and J.P. Hunter Co. f~r the weatherization of the Senior/Youth Center,. Peconic Lane, Peconic, New York. The bid packages for this project were accidently prepared-and published incorrectly. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilman Murphy, Councilman Murdock, Councilman Nickles, CounciIman Drum, Supervisor Poll. This resolution was declared duly adopted.. On motion of Councilman Nickles, seconded by Councilman Murphy, it was RESOLVED~'that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby a~th'o'rizes Pan Tech Energy Systems to prepare specifications 'for weatheriZatiOn measures at the Senior/Youth Center, Peconic Lane, Peconic, New York, and the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for same. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Councilman Murphy, Councilman Murdock, Councilman Nickles, Councilman Drum, Supervisor Pell. This resOlution was declared duly adopted. On motion of Supervisor Pell, seconded by Councilman Murdock, it was RESOLVED that there being no further business to come before this Town Board meeting adjournment be called at 4:40 P.M.
