MEETING 0~ OCTOBER 16, 19.56..
The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman E~
'Kl~Pp at GreenPort, on Tuesday, October 16, 1956. The meeting was
called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor
Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Clark and Demarest; Superinten
de~-6f Highways Price, Tow~ Attorney Terry and Town Clerk B~oth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims
against the Town concluding the audit work at 2 o'clock

RESOLVED: That the minutes of September ll~ 1956, October:tst~and~
October ~th, 1956, be and hereby are duly approved as~read". -

RESOLVED: That. Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be authorized to'enter
into an agreement with the ~il~age of Greenpert to surface certain
roads. The Village will supply the necessary material~and theTown
of Southold will supply the necessary equipment and personal. The
Village will pay for the labor supplied and gasoline 'supplied 'or
purchased.

he hereby is-:appointed Police Patrolman (Constable) of the Townef
Souhhold for aProbationary period of six months, following the date
that the appointment becomes effective, and be it further
RESOLVED: That Frank E. Bondarehuk will serve in the capacity of
Police Patrolman (Constable) of the Town of Southold at ~he PleasUre
of the Town Board, and be it further
RESOLVED: That the compensation during the proba~ionaryperiod be
fixed at Eleven Dollars ($11.OO) per day, payable in regular bi--
weekly payments, and be it further "'

is appointed Police Patrolman (Constable) of the Town of~SoDthoid
for a Probationary period ef six months~ following the d~te' tha~'
the appointmentbecomes effective, and be it further
RESOLVED: That Henry F. Santacroce will serve in the Capacity Of
Police Patrolman (ConStable) e~ ~ Town of Southold at t~he pleasure
of the Town Board~ and be it further
RESOLVED: That the compensation during the probationary period be

RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $2~792.23; Lighting
District Bills in the amount of $1~51~.3~; Fishers Island Ferry
Ristrict Bills in the amount of $8,23~.06 be and the same are hereby
ordered paid.

The Southold Town Board met at the office of the Supervisor, Noeman
E.mKlipP~at Greenport, on Thursday, November 8~ 1956. The Booting
was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present:
Supervis?r Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill~ Clark and
DemareSt; Superintendent of Highways P~ice, Town Attorney Terry and
Town Clerk Booth.
The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims

RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board will be

RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Highmays be and he hereby is
authorized te advertise for~and purchase from the lowest bidder
sixty (60) tons of #1 New York State Rock Salt.

RESOLVED. That the Superintendent of Highways be and he hereby is
authorized to purchase from the municipal machinery Company, of
.Coram~ L.I., one half yard P.M. Dragline Bucket~ at ~ cost not to
exceed the Sum of $800.00.

and Demarest and Councilman Albertson.

RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Highways be and he hereby is
authorized to advertise for and purchase from the lowest bidder
four ($) lO.O0 x 25 Low Pressure Heavy Duty 8-ply rating ErOund grip
builder tires and tubes or equal.

and Demarest and Councilman Albertson.
Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark:
~RESOLVED: The Bond No. SM 178-218-1, issued by th~ American Motorists
Insurance Company in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) on
behalf of James J. Fitzpatrick be and the same is hereby approved
as to its form ~ manner of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein.

RESOLVED: That Bend No. ~86521, issued by the Travelers Indemuit~
Company in th~ sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) on behalf
of Christian J. Marshall be and the smme is hereby approved as to
its form, manner of execution, and sufficiency of surety therein.
