The meeting was cal[~d 'te orde~ at l:SO P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Co~mcilman Albertson; Justices TUthill, Glark and De~arest; Superintendent of Highways ~rice; TownAttorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims against the Town, concluding the Audit wor~ at 2 o'clock P.M. Moved b~-Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOBFED:' That the meetings of August 1~ and August 22 be and hereby are d~ly approved as read. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. Moved byCouncilman Albertson; seconded by JusticeCIark: RESOLVED: ~hat Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be authorized to attend the dedication ceremonies of the new Animal Disease Laboratory to he held at Plum Island on September 26, 1956. Klipp be directed to deposit~ the sum of $1~22.10 in the Highway miscellaneous account, This amount was received from the Civil Defense Commission for Federal Grants reimbursements for damage done in the hurricanes in 19%,. Murphy be appointed temporary School Traffic Officer to direct traffic at the Southold School srossing at Oak Lawn Avenue and Route 25, at a salary of $5.50 per day, for each school day worked, retroactive to September 5, 19~6~ He to serve at the pleasure of the Town Board, Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Alber~son; J~s~i;ees~Tuthill, Clark and Demarest. That~ the street light%ngcontract between the Town of Southold and the Long Island-~Lt-g~ing Company, covering the Cutchogue New Suffolk Lighting District for a term of one year commencing service on the 15th day of October, 19%6 and thereafter until terminated by SO days written notice by either party be and the same is hereby ap- proved by the Town Board. Raymond Davids of Peconic requested that five street lights be installed o~.ROute 25 west~of Peconic Lane. MOved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That .the Town Clerk be and he hereby is directed to request the Long Island Lighting Company to install five (5) additional 105 c.p. aerial street lights in t~? ~ec~v!~ L~ghting D~strict, said lights to be placed em Pokes #633, ~635, ~637~ ~639 and #6~2 along Route 25 west of Peconic La~e.
