The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; PriceJU~tiCeSandTUt~ill~Town ClarkClarkBooth.and Demarest ; Superintendent of Highways Moved.by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest: ~ That the minutes of the previous meeting be and hereby are RESOLV~D: duly approved as read. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill~ Ct~rk and Demarest. Moved by Justice Clark~ seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board ~ill be held at the office of SuperVisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport~ on Tuesday~ ~ugust 14~ 19~6,~at 1:30 P.M. Vote of Town Board. AYes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices T~thill~ Clark and Demarest. Fred Moore appeared before the Board representing the M~ttituck Chamber of Commerce requesting street signs be placed on Marlene Lane~ Maple Avenue~ School Road~ Bayer Ro~d~ Sunset Avenue~ Mill Road and Bungalow Lane. He also stated that on account.of the heavy traffic ~t the corner of Wickham Avenue and the Main Road~s a very dangerous situation as the Bohack store is in that vicinity and some act'ion should be taken in the matter. He stated that a traffic light signal is very much needed at ~hat particularTpoint. The Supervisor stated that he would take the matter up with the ~m~ss~n~. ~ ~ De~t~ of Public Work~ and try ~o have some action taken ~efore Labor Day] He also stated that some step should be taken to quiet the noise of outboard motors in Mattituck Creek. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klipp be and he hereby is author- ized to contribute the sum of $1~0.00 to the North Fork Publicity Committee to help defray the e~penses for advertising SoUthold ~own. Vote of Town Board: ANes-Supervisor Klipp~ Justices Tuthill~ Clark and Demarest. The Supervisor read a communication from Otto W. VanTuyl stating that he was tending his resignation as a member of the Zoning CommisSion~. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the r~sig~tion of Otto W. VanTuyl as a member of the Zoning Co~mission~ exfeetive as of July 9~ 19~6~ be accepted b~ the Town Board with regret. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor K!ipp; Justices Tuthill~ Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That arrangements be made with Crab~ree-O'Keefe to service the new Chevrolet Police Car. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill and Clark Nsye-Justice Demarest. Resolution Lost. Moved by Justice C!ark~ seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That Chief of Police Otto L. Anrig be instructed to have all Police cars equipped with First Aid Kits and be it further RESOLVED: That each Police Officer be instructed to take a course in First Aid.
