The meeting was called to order ~t l:~O P.M. with the following present: Supervisor KliDp; Council- man Albertson; Justices Tuthill~ Clark and Demarest; Superintendent Of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. The Board sat at once as a committee on audit to examine claims against the Town concluding the audit work at 2 o'clock~ P.M. Mo~ed by Coaucilman Albertsonl seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the meetings of June 12 and June be and hereby are duly approved as read. Vote of Town Board: Ayes,Supervisor Klipp; Councilman Albertson; Justices Tuthill~ Clark and Dem~rest. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLV~D: That the regular monthly meeting of this Board will be held zt the ~office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport~ ~on Tuesday~ July ~, 19~6, at l:~O P.M. Vote of T own Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill~ Clark ~nd Demarest; Councilman Albertson. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That Fwank S. Dawson~ of New Suffolk~ be and.he hereby, i~ appointed~ Subject to'the written approval of the District Superinten- dent of Schools~ &ttendance Supervisor of all schools throughout the Town except such schools as are otherwise provided for by Section ~21~ of the Education Law mnd be it further RESOLVED: That such Attendance Supervisor shall be removable at the pleasure of the District Superintendent of Schools and be it further RESOLVED: That the compensation for such Attendance Supervisor be fixed at $1~000o00 per year~ payable in.regular monthl$ installments~ he to pay his own expense~ and be it further RE. SOL~D: That the Town Clerk be and he hereby is instructed to notify Frank S. Dawson and the District Superintendent of Schools of this appointment. Terry~ Building Inspector for th~Town of Southold, who uses his own automobile in the performance of his duly for the Town of Southold~ will be compensated for the use of such auto- mobile in the amount not to e~ceed the sum of eight cents ($.08) per mile. Vote of Town Board: Ayes~Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill~ Clark and Demarest; Councilman Albertson. Moved by Councilman Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That Supervisor Norman E. Klip~ be empowered to engage the services of Otto ~. VanTuyl to survey Locust Lane from the State High- way Route 2~ to L'Hommedieu Lane. Moved by Justice Clark~ seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That General Bills in ~h~ amount of $1~807.865 Lighting Dis- trict Bills in the amount of $1~476.88; Fishers Island Ferry District Bills in the amount of $1~216.86 be and the same are ordered paid. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill~ Clark a~ Demarest; Cou~ ilman Albertson. A communication was received from Mrs'. Frank Widirstky in regard to erect- ing stop signs and children at play signs on Cottage Place.
