Southold partners with Family Service League to provide counseling to young people who are in need of such services. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Gwynn Schroeder Government Liaison Officer Cc: Councilman Brian Mealy, Liaison to the Southold Town Youth Bureau Jill Doherty, Suffolk County Denis Noncarrow, Southold Town Clerk Jarod Morris, Suffolk County Family Service League Southold Youth Bureau Program Narrative: Pseudo code ARH1 Program Description and Services Provided: Family Service League (FSL) will be available to schools during the school day when a student is in crisis, when a psychiatric evaluation is needed and/or when suicidal behaviors or other imminent risk factors become evident. FSL will serve as a single point of contact for the schools for crisis management and/or evaluation; if hospitalization is required, FSL will work with the local emergency departments to facilitate this level of care. FSL's clinical staff will provide individual, family and group therapy, as well as medication management services. FSL's prevention staff will provide education services for the Southold Town Youth Services Program. FSL will hire additional part-time psychiatric prescribers and additional licensed, Master's level clinicians to work at FSL if increased staffing is required to meet the needs of the community. FSL will provide any and all other services, upon mutual agreement, as needed by the Town of Southold's Youth Services Program. Target Population Served: Youth and families in Southold, with a focus on students from Greenport, Southold and Mattituck-Cutchogue School Districts. Measurable Outcomes and Program Goals: FSL will provide annual summaries of all Southold youth assessed and/or treated, including total unique individuals seen, total number of services provided, and relevant demographic information for the population seen. FSL will submit monthly vouchers to Southold Town totaling the annual contracted amount.
