Martocchia, Councilman Eoward Valentine, Council'man James Rick, Justice Martin Suter, Justice Louis Demarest, Town. Supt. of Eighways Raymond Dean, Town Clerk Albert Richmond, Town ~ttorney Robert Tasker. Absent: Justice E. Perry Edwards. Moved by Jusfice Suter, seconded by Justice Demarest, i~ was RESOLVED That the minu~es of May 11, 1971 be and they hereby are approved. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes; Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Valentine, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Councilman Rich, seconded by Councilman Valentine, it was RESOLVED: That the next meeting of the Southold Town Board Will be held at-the office of Supervisor Albe~ Martocchia, 16 South Street, Greenport~ New York, on June 8, 1971 at 3:0~ P.M. Vote of ~h~ Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Valentine, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by C6unc~lman Valentine, seconded by Councilman Rich, WHEREAS Waiter Cain, Southold, L.I., N.Y. has been a faithful and conscientious member of the Narcotic Guidance Council since his ~pointme~ 6n March 10, 1970, ~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That it is with deep regret that the Town Board of the Town of Southold accept the resignation of Walter Cain. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes:~ Supervisor Martocchia, Councilm~n Rich, Councilman Valentine, Justice S~ter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Valentine, it was RESOLVED: That this Board recommend that Edwar~ Wood, Jr., Peconic, New York, be appointed a member of the Suffolk County Planning Board. Vote of the Town ~Board: Ayes: Supervisqr Ma~tocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Valentine, Justice Suter, Justice Dema~est. Moved by Councilman Valentine, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was RESOLVED: That John Plock, Sr., South old, New York be and he hereby is appointed a member of the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council for s term of two years, whose term expires May 6, 1973. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia,~Councilman Rich, Conncilman Valentine, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Rich, W~EREAS, Wunneweta Pond Association and Nassau ~oint Lago.on AssOcia- tion applied to the Town Board- for financial assistance ~n dredging the entrance to the creek; . _ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Supervisor_Martocchia be and he hereby is authorized to contribute half of the total cost ~p to but not to exceed~ the sum of $475.0~' ~oward ~he cost of dredging the entrance of the creeks. VOte of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Valentine, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Justice Dema~est, seconded by Justice.Suter, it was RESOLVED: That $1946.00 be and hereby is transferred from Part Town Contingent Fund to State Retirement Part Town. Moved by Councilman Valentine, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was RESOLVED: That $21,000.00 be and hereby is transferred from Surplus Part Town to State Retirement Part Town. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Valentine, Justice Suter., Justice Demarest. Moved by Councilman Valentine, seconded by Justice Demarest, it was RESOLVED: That $4715.00 be and hereby is transferred from Surplus Highway to Highway State Retirement. Vote of the T~wn Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Valentine, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by COuncilman Valentine, seconded by Justice Demarest, it was RESOLVED: That Supervisor Albert Martocchia ~be and he hereby is authorized to bid for material for the Justice Court ~uilding. Sum not to exceed $3,000.00. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman Valentine, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest. Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was RESOLVED: That Howard'Terry be ahd he:hereby is authOriZed to purchase three (3) file cabinets. - .... Moved by Justice Suter, seeded by Justice Demarest, it was RESOLVED: That t~e ~Town Clerk be and he hereby is 'directed to request the Long Island Lighting Co. to install one 1~5 MV light on Pole ~ , Eugenes Road, Cutchogue, New York. Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman Rich, Councilman'Valentine, Justice Suter, Justice'Demare'st. Moved by Councilman Valentine, seconded by Justice Suter, WHEREAS John J. and Ann Kelly ~pplied to the Town~ Board'for permission to lay and maintain a well point and wa~ter pipe on Town p~Ope~t~ ~ Peconic Bay Boulevard, Mattituck, New York, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Raymond Dean, SuperintendR~t of Highways, be and he hereby is authorized to issue a permit tb John J. and Ann Kelly, sa~d permit to be drawn b y Attorney Tasker, to maintain a well p~int and water pipe on Town property. Moved by Councilman Valentine, seconded by Justice Suter, WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by this Town Board on the 4tH day Of May, 1971, a public hearing was authorized to be held in the matter of Amending Ordinance Regulatin~ the Use of Parking Area~ at Southold Town Beaches, and ~ '' WHEREAS, said hearing was held by the Town Board on the '25th day of May, 1971, at which time all inte'rested persons were given an opportunity to be heard, and ..... WHEREAS, the Board deems it in the best interest of th~ Tow~ of- Southold that this Amendment be adopted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE 'IT RESOLVED: That the Town Board of ~he Town of Southold enact the following Amendment to wit: I. By amending Section II, subdivision a, by rapealin'g ~u~ section (1) thereof and renumbering subsections (2) to (8)~"~nc~usive to (1) t© (7) i'n~lusive.~ ...... ~I. By amending Section III, subdivision (1') by'adding anew subsection to be'subsection (c) to read as follows: (c) SuCh Other proof of residence as is satisfactory tO the Town Clerk. III. By amending the first sentence of Section III, subdivision (A), subsection (4) to read as follows: (4) 'One day non-resident parking permits may be issued for the parking of vehicles in the parking area at' "S~u'thbld Town Beach" and Norman E. Klipp Marine Park" ~o any p~rs0n by the attendant on duty at such~parking areas.
