Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Councilman Rich,
WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry
District advertised for quotations for the hauling and launching
of the Mystic Isle and doing the necessary work thereon, and
WHEREAS the Thames Shipyard & Repair Company submitted the only
quotation which was opened at 2:00 P.M. on December 21, 1973 and
which was as follows:

Item ~8 $ 460.00
Total Extras $2835.00
Total $8095.00
NOW, THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board approves
the action of the Fishers Island Ferry District in accepting the
b~d of the Thames Shipyard & Repair Company, lowest bidder, for
hauling, Munching and necessary work On the Mystic Isle at $8,095.00.

Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest.
On motion of Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter, it was
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board approves the action of the
Fishers Island Ferry District in accepting the low bidder, Adams
Porter Inc., in their bid for Marine Insurance (for replacement
value of the two ferries and also for P & I Coverage for same).
Vote of the Town Board: Ayes: Supervisor Martocchia, Councilman
Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest.
Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Councilman Homart, it was
RESOLVED that $50.00 (fifty dollars) be and hereby is transferred
from DM5130.4 Highway Fund Item III contractual into DM5130.1,
Highway Fund Item III personal services.

Moved_by Councilman Rich, seconded by Justice Demarest,
WHEREAS a petition was received from Leisure Greens, Inc., Cutchogue,
New York, requesting a change of zone on certain property at Cutchogue,
New York, said petition for a change of zone from "A" Residential
and Agricultural District to "M21" General Multiple Residence District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL~ED that the Town Clerk of the Town of
Southold be and he hereby is directed to transmit this application
to the Planning Board in accordance with Article XVI, Section 1600
of the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold.

RESOLVED that Bond No. 73 S-5527 BCA issued by the Aetna Casualty
and Surety Company in the name of Raymomd C. De,B, Superintsndent
of Higb~aysr Town of Southold, in the amount of $2,000.00 be and the
same is hereby approved as to its form, manner of execution, and
sufficiency of sureties therein.

Moved by Councilman Homan, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was
RESOLVED that Bond No. 73 S-8818 BCA issued by the. Aetna Casualty
and Surety Company in the name of William Januick, Bay Constable,
Town of Southold, in the amount of $4,000.00 be and the same is
hereby approved,as to its form, manner of execution, and sufficiency
of sureties therein. _

RESOLVED that Bond No. 73 S-12374 BCA issued by the Aetna Casualty
and Surety Company in the name of Alfred R. Grebe, Jr., Constable,
Town of Southold, in the amount of $4,000.00 be and the same is hereby
approved as to its form, manner of execution, and sufficiency of
sureties therein.

Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was
RESOLVED that Bond No. 73 S-8172 issued by the Aetna Casualty and
Surety Company in the name~of Albert M. Martocchia, Supervisor, Town
of Southold, in the amount of $200,000.00 be and the same is hereby
approved as to its form, manner of execution, and sufficiency of
sureties therein.

RESOLVED that Bond No. 73 S-8173 BCA issued by the Aetna Casualty
and Surety Company in the name of Albert M. Martocchia, Supervisor,
Town of So~hhold, in the amount of $15,000.00 be and the same is
hereby approved as to its form, manner of execution, and sufficiency
of sureties therein.

Fishers Island Ferry District, in the amount of $1,000.00 be and
the same is hereby approved as to its form, manner of execution,
and sufficiency of sureties therein.

RESOLVED that Bond No. 73 S-1059 BCA issued by the Aetna Casualty
and Surety Company in the name of Albert W. Richmond, Town Clerk,
Town of Southold, in the amount of $1,000.00 be and the same is
hereby approved as to its form, manner of execution, and sufficiency
of sureties therein.

Moved by Justice Surer, seconded by Justice Demarest, it was
RESOLVED that Bond No. 73 S-688 BCA issued by the Aetna Casualty
and Surety Company in the name of Raymond Doyen, Commissioner-
Secretary, Fishers Island Ferry District, in the amount of $1,000.00
be and the same is hereby approved as to its form, manner of execution,
and sufficiency of sureties therein.

Moved by Justice Suter, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was
RESOLVED that Bond No. 73 S-8769 BCA issued by the Aetna Casualty
and Surety Company in the name of Arthur J. WaSh, Commissioner-
Treasurer, Fishers Island Ferry District, in the amount of $20,000.00
be and the same is hereby approved as to its form, manner of execution,
and suffieiency of sureties therein~~- ~

On motion of Justice Demarest, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board approves the action of the
Fishers Island Ferry District in retaining as encumbered funds for
deferred 1973 expenses not yet recorded the sum of $21~000.00
representing payments due in 1973 for Insurance $12,000.00 and
repairs to vessels in the amount of $9,000.00.

On motion of Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter, it was
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board approves the action of the
Fishers Island Ferry District in transferring Line Items in the
a~ount of $2QQ000.00 against surplus available.

Rich, Councilman Homan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest.
On motion of Justice Demarest, seconded by Councilman Rich, it was
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board approves the action of the
Fishers Island Ferry District in applying against the surplus
available December 31, 1973 the amount of $29,000.00 the following
line items:
Operation of Ferry
Office Expense
Commissioners
Accounting
Social Security
Miscellaneous

Moved by Justice Demarest, seconded by Councilman Homan, it was
RESOLVED that the Town Board authorize payment of mnsurance premium
bills to the McMann-Price Agency zn the amounts of $11,373.00 and
$9,332.00.

Rich, Councilman Hogan, Justice Suter, Justice Demarest.
On motion of Justice Demarest, seconded by Justice Suter, it was'
RESOLVED that the Southold Town Board create two positions for
Court Clerks. -

The Southold Town Board stood for a'moment of silence in the memory
of Lawrence Baldwin, deceased Commissioner of the Fishers Island
Ferry District, who gave many years of faithful service to the Town
of Southold add Fishers Island Ferry District.
