Kl~pp a~ Greenport~ on Thursday~ November lO~ 19~, The meet- ing was ca,led to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp~ Justices Tuthill~ Albertson~ Clark and Demarest$ Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and T~own Clerk Boot~. The Bosrd sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims against the Town concluding the Audit work st 2 o'clock Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by ~ustic e Albertson: RESOLVED: That the minu~es of the pr~x~ious meeting be and hereby are duly approved as read. Long Island Lighting Company to install two addition- al 100 c.p. aerial street lights in the Mattituck #1 Lighting District~ said lights to be pl~ed on Pole #10 snd Pole #12 on Hamilton Avenue at Mattituck~ New YOrk. Fitzpatrick~ be and the s~me is hereby approved as to its form~ sum~ manner of execution and sufficiency of-surety therein. Moved by Justice Albertson~ seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $3~234.~0~ Lighting District Bills in the amount of #1~433.94; Fishers Island Ferry District Bills in the amount of $1~14.51+ be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Justice Alb~rtson; seconded by Justice Tuthill: BE~OLVED : That Otto L. &nrig~ Chief of Police~ be authorized to obtai~ the price and specifications of four new sirens for use on the police cars. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp~ Justices Tuthill~ Albertson~ Clark and Demarest . The Town Board canvassed the ballot cast for the Library appropriation in the General Election of November 8~ 19~. The vote was as follows: Yes - 2362. No - ~87. The proposition to appropriate the sum of $15~0OO.00 Annually for the support of the Public Libraries of Southold Town for the fiscal years 19~6-19~7~ was duly declared passed. Moved by Justice A!bertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That Irving M. Rogers of Greenport~ Donald S. Edwards of Fishers island~ Florence Slavonik of Southold~ and Betty Tyler of Mattituck be and they hereby are appointed Dog Enumerators for the Town of Southold for the~year 19~6. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill~ Albertson~ Clark and Demarest. The Public Hearing on the preliminary budget was formerly opened by the Sdpervisor at 2 o'clock P.M. in accordance with the notice published in the newspaper of the town required by Soction ll3 of the T6wn Law. The Supervisor read the call of the hearing ~nd as there were no interested persons having appeared before the Boar~ to speak either for or against any of the items in the proposed budget~ the hearing was duly closed at 2:1~ o'clock Moved by ?ustice Demarest; seconded by Justice Clark: ~HEREAS~ .THE Town Bosrd of the Town of Southold has met at the time snd plage specified in the n~tice of public hearing on the preliminary budget snd heard all persons dssiring to be heard there- on: now~ therefore~ be it RESOLVED: That the Tow~ Boar8 of the Town of Southold does hereby adopt suc~ preliminary budEet as originally compiled~ as the annual budget o~ this Town for the fiscal year begirnaing on the 1st day of January~ 19~6~ ~nd that such budget as so adopted be entered in detail~ in the ~nutes of the proceedings of this Town Board~ and be it further RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold shall prepare and certify~ in duplicate~ copies of said annual budget as adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Southold, together wi~h the estimates~ if any~ adoptedgursuant to Section 202-a subd. 2~ of the Town Law and deliver one copy thereof to the Supervisor of this Town to be presented by him to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Suffolk.
