The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor Norman
E. Kl~pp a~ Greenport~ on Thursday~ November lO~ 19~, The meet-
ing was ca,led to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present:
Supervisor Klipp~ Justices Tuthill~ Albertson~ Clark and Demarest$
Superintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorney Terry and T~own
Clerk Boot~.
The Bosrd sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims
against the Town concluding the Audit work st 2 o'clock
Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by ~ustic e Albertson:
RESOLVED: That the minu~es of the pr~x~ious meeting be and hereby
are duly approved as read.

RESOLVED: That the Town lerk be and he hereby is directed to
request the. Long Island Lighting Company to install two addition-
al 100 c.p. aerial street lights in the Mattituck #1 Lighting
District~ said lights to be pl~ed on Pole #10 snd Pole #12 on
Hamilton Avenue at Mattituck~ New YOrk.

W~EREAS~ it is the desire of the parties hereto that said portion
of Sound AvenUe be properly described ~nd laid o~t~ now therefore~
be it
RESOLVED: That inasmuch as the required dedication and release
h~e b&en duly received~ map of same duly filed and the necessary
papers signed~ the Town Board accept that portion of Sound Avenue
at Mattituck~ which Con Bullock , Eva Bullock snd Mary Pylko~
owners of said property adjoining said portion of ~ound Avenue
have dedicated to the Town of Southold~

RESOLVED: That on the recommendation of Harold Price and Ellsworth
W. Bedell~ Republicen Committeemen~ $istrict #10~ Town of Southold~
Herbert W. Cook~ of Cutchogue~ New York~ be and he hereby is
appointed Special Constable to direc~ traffic at the East Cutchogue
School crossing, at a salary of $~.~0 per day~ for each school
day worked~ exfective as of November 21~ 19~ he to serve a t
the pleasure of the Town Board°

RESOLVED: That Bond No. SM178218~ issued by the American Motorists
Insurance Company~ in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($~O0,00)

approved as to its form~ sum~ manner of execution and sufficiency
of-surety therein.

as to i~s form~ sum~ manner of execution and sufficiency of
surety therein.

and the same are hereby ordered paid.

BE~OLVED : That Otto L. &nrig~ Chief of Police~ be authorized
to obtai~ the price and specifications of four new sirens for
use on the police cars.

The Town Board canvassed the ballot cast for the Library
appropriation in the General Election of November 8~ 19~.
The vote was as follows: Yes - 2362. No - ~87. The proposition
to appropriate the sum of $15~0OO.00 Annually for the support
of the Public Libraries of Southold Town for the fiscal years
19~6-19~7~ was duly declared passed.

RESOLVED: That Irving M. Rogers of Greenport~ Donald S. Edwards
of Fishers island~ Florence Slavonik of Southold~ and Betty Tyler
of Mattituck be and they hereby are appointed Dog Enumerators
for the Town of Southold for the~year 19~6.

The Public Hearing on the preliminary budget was formerly opened
by the Sdpervisor at 2 o'clock P.M. in accordance with the notice
published in the newspaper of the town required by Soction ll3
of the T6wn Law. The Supervisor read the call of the hearing
~nd as there were no interested persons having appeared before
the Boar~ to speak either for or against any of the items in
the proposed budget~ the hearing was duly closed at 2:1~ o'clock

~HEREAS~ .THE Town Bosrd of the Town of Southold has met at the
time snd plage specified in the n~tice of public hearing on the
preliminary budget snd heard all persons dssiring to be heard there-
on: now~ therefore~ be it
RESOLVED: That the Tow~ Boar8 of the Town of Southold does hereby
adopt suc~ preliminary budEet as originally compiled~ as the annual
budget o~ this Town for the fiscal year begirnaing on the 1st day
of January~ 19~6~ ~nd that such budget as so adopted be entered
in detail~ in the ~nutes of the proceedings of this Town Board~
and be it further
RESOLVED: That the Town Clerk of the Town of Southold shall prepare
and certify~ in duplicate~ copies of said annual budget as adopted
by the Town Board of the Town of Southold, together wi~h the estimates~
if any~ adoptedgursuant to Section 202-a subd. 2~ of the Town Law
and deliver one copy thereof to the Supervisor of this Town to be
presented by him to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Suffolk.
