Klipp at Greenport, on Tuesday, August 9, 1955o The meeting was calt~e~d to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Alber~son, Clar~ and Demarest; Superi~tandent of Highways Price, Town AttornJy Terry and 'Town Clerk Booth. Th~ BOard sat at once as a committee on Audit to examine claims against 'the Town, concluding the audit work at 2 o'clock, P.M. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be and hereby are dulyrapproved as read. Vote of Tow~ Board:~Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justice Tuthill, Albertson~ Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That the Town Board make its official visit to Fishers Island on Tuesday~.August 2S~ 195~. Vote of Town Board. ANes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Albertson: RESOLVED: That General Bills in the amount of $6,101.57, Light- ing District Bills in the amount of $1~0.65~ Town Trustees Bills in the amount of $~0.00, Fishers Island Ferry District Bills in the amount of $?,656.51 be and the same are hereby ordered paid. Vot~ of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor K~ipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Dmmarest. Moved hy Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board does hereby approve an appropriation of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000) annually for the support of the Public Libraries of Southold Town, for the years 1956-19%7, and that the following proposition be submitted ~o the electors at the next annual election: Shall the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000) be appropriated annually for the support of the Public Libraries of Southold Town for the years 1956-19577 Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, CIsrk and Demarest. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That Bond No. SM178188, issued by the American Motorists Insurance company, in the amount of $500.00, on behalf of Harry W. Smith~ be and the same is hereby approved as to its form~ sum, manner of execution and sufficiency of surety therein. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill~ Albertson~ Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Cl~rk: RESOLVED: That the police Report for the month of July be accepted by the Town Board and placed on file. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill~ Albertson~ Clark and Demarest. The Supervisor received a petition ~igned by residents of South01d and Peconic requesting the Town Board to have a speed limit sign r reading 30 miles per hour inst~lled on Route 25 New York State Highway about one mile west of the present speed limit sign. The Supervisor stated he would take the matter up with the New York Statte Traffic CommisSion. Adjournment was at 5:30 P.M. Ralph P. Booth Town Clerk
