The meeting was called to order at 1.30 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest; Town Superintendent of Highways Price, Town Attorney Terry and Town Clerk Booth. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the minutes of the previous meeting be and here- by are duly approved as. read. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson and Clark and Demarest. Moved by 'Justice Olark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport~ on Tuesday~ July 12, 1955 at 1:30 P.M. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill~ Albertson, Cl~rk and Demarest. Moved by Justice Albertson; aseconded by Justice Clark: RESOLVED: That Norm~u E. Klipp, Supervisor, be and he hereby is authorized to employ John Kalmowski as additional Life Guard at the Southold Town Bathing Beach, Go act in such capacity Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays form l:OO P.M. to 6:00 P.M. and that he be compensated for such services at the ra~e of $1.25 per hour. Vote of Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tut~ill~ Albertson, Clark and Demarest. A leSter was received from the Southold Town Post ~9205 Veterans of Foreign Wors, requesting permission to use the parking field opposite the Post Office for a Block Party during the last two weeks/in August. ends Moved by Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That permission be granted the Southold Town Post #9205 Veterans of Foreign Wars to use the parking field opposite the Southold Post Office for a Block Party during the last t~o weekends in August. Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Harold Price, Town Superintendent of Highways, recommended to the Town Board the purchase of one new Bulldozer, the old Bulldozer to be taken in trade as part payment. Moved b~y Justice Albertson; seconded by Justice Demarest: RESOLVED: That the Southold Town Board approve the action of the Commissioners of the Fishers Island Ferry District on enter- ing into a contract with the Nelseco Navigation Company for a Bare Boat Charter of the Sprigg Carroll, dated the 6th day of May, 1955. Vote of Town Board: ANes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Edwin S. Conklin, Building Inspector, Stanley Corwin, Esq. and Nathan Hick~, Proprietor of the Orient Point Inn, appeardd before the Town Board relative to the Multiple B sident Law. There were lengthy discussions on fire escapes and s~rinkier systems which should he installed at the Orient Point Inn. Supervisor Klipp Stated that he would like Mr. Conklin, Mr. Corwin and Mr. Hicks to meet with him and Harold F. Gorman, State Building Constrct- ion Engineer, at the Supervisor's Office on July 16~ 195%. The Supervisor also stated that he would like Mr. Hicks to present plans I~E~ of the fire escape to be installed at the Orient Point Inn for Mr. Gormann's approval. Adjournment was at 5:1% P.M.
