Klipp at Greenport, o~ Tuesday~ Nay 25~ 1955o The meeting was called to order at 1:30 P.M. with the following present: upervisorKlipp; Justices Tuthi~l, Albertsen~ Clark and Demarest; Uperintendent of Highways Price; Town Attorn~y- Terry and Tewm Clerk Booth. Ayes-Supervisor Klipp, Justices Tuthill~ Albertson, ~lhrk and Demarest. Moved by Justice Tuthill; seconded by J~stice Albertson: RESOLVED: That the regular monthly audit meeting of this Board will be held at the office of Supervisor Norman E. Klipp at Greenport~ on Tuesday, June 7, 1955~ at 1:30 P.N. Vote ef Town Board: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertso~, Clark and Demarest. A letter was received from Harold P. Herman, presiding Supervisor of Hempste~d, N.Y., in regard to Mr & Mrs. Charles Ziegler seek- ing permission of the Town Board of the Town of Southold to main- tain three trailers upon their premises at East Marion. Mr. Herman states that he has known Mr. & Mrs. Ziegler for the past fifteen years and has always had a high regard for them and anything they propose to do in our jurisdiction would be most creditable. Moved by Justice Demarest; seconde~ by Justice Albertson: WHEREAS: An application was made to the Southold Town Board under date of April 1~$, 1955, by Charles O. and Florence A. Ziegler for the establishment of a House Trailer Camp~ located on the west ~lde of Bay Avenue, East Marion~ New York~ 50' south of the land of Leonard Krancher, and WHEREAS: It is req~red by the Southold Town ordinance~providing for the regulation of tourists camps, house trailer camps, house trailers or similar establishments, that a public hearing be held on the matter, and WHER~S: A public hearing was held in the office of the Supervisor, Greenport, New York~ on May 25, 1955~ and all persons attending such public hearing were given ample opportunity ~o speak in favor of or in opposition to, and WHEREAS: Practically all objections to the establishment of this house trailer camp were withdrawn, now~ therefore, be it RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of Southold grants per- mission to Charles 0. and Florence A. Ziegler to establish and operate s house trailer camp on the abovementioned site, up to and including December 31~ 195%, unless this permission is sooner revoked by the Town Board of the Town of Southold. Vote of Town Boar~: Ayes-Supervisor Klipp; Justices Tuthill, Albertson, Clark and Demarest. Moved by Justice Demarest; seconded by Justice Tuthill: WHEREAS: The Mayor and the Village Board of the Incorporated Village of Greenport have by resolution adopted May 9, 1955~ requested that the Town Board provide for the oiling~ sanding or blue stoning of such streets or portions thereof as the Superintendent of Public Works of the ~illage of Greenpor~ shall designate~ no~, therefore, be it RESOLVED: That the Town Board of the Town of Southold agrees to render the above mentioned service to the Incorporated ~illage of Greenport; the work to be done at such time as is satisfactory to the Town Superintendent Of Highways, and at such time as will not interfere with the work to be done on Town Highways, and be it further 248 RESOLVED: That the ~illage of Greenport will pay the Town of SoutholdfOr such service on terms, conditions and cost of which shall be mutually agreed upon by the respective Boards of both municipalities. Jmstice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: That Stephen Coyle of Gree~port, New York, be and appointed Laborer at th~ Southold Town Dumpy at ~ 25 per hour, payable in regular monthly install- men~s, and be it further RESOLVED: That this appointment take effect as of June l, 1955~ and be it further RESOLVED: That Stephen Coyle serve at the pleasure of the Town Board.
