The Southold Town Board met at the office of Supervisor No,man E.
K!ipp at Greenport~ on Tuesday~ January 2~ !9N~. The meeting was
called to order at 1:30 P.Mo with the following present: Supervisor
K!ipp~ Justices Albertson~ Clark and Demarest; Superintendent of
Highways Pricer Town &ttorney Terry and Toe~ Clerk Booth.

At 2 o'clock P.M. in accordance with a notice eub!ished according
to law, bids were opened for proposals to furnish the Town of
Southo~d two new 19~ 2-door sedan standard model automobiles for
use as police cars. The following bids were submitted:

I~YH~REAS~ THE Police Committee reported that the lowest bid was sub-
mitted by the Cutchogue Auto Sales~ therefore befit
RESOLVED: That Norman E. Klipp~ Supervisor~ be and herhereby is direct-
ed to enter into a contract with the Cutchogue Auto Sales for the
purchase of two new 19%~ 2-door sedan standard model 8 cylinder auto-
mobiles at a total price of ~1~443.00~ to be delAy&red at the Police
Department at Peconic in 60 days.

RESOLVED: That Charles ~. King be and he hereby ms appointed Fire
Department inspector to serve in such capacity in the East Marion
Fire District ]a_~n_ti! Januar~ 1~ 19~6~ in accordance with Artical 8:
Section 303~ Suo-division ~ of the Multiple Resident Law~ and be it

Supervisor K!ipp. read a letter from Patrick ~o_man~ v which was
turned over to the Town Attorney who was instructed to contact
Mr. Gorman's A~torney ~,,,nd discuss the contsn~s of'the letter with
him,
LLoyd Hamilton appeared before the Board to complain about sand
~,hich is blown from the Sound Beach onto Bailey Road~ it is then
blown from Bai!eys Road and deposited on his lawn in places as
much as ~h~ee inches deep. It was agreed that'~he Superip_tende~t
of Highways and the Town Attorney meet wmth Mr. 'Hamilton and see
what could be done to correct the situation.

WHEREAS~ Subdivision 2!a of Section 4 of the Tax Law (as amended
by Chapter 824 of the Laws of 195l+) provides that the a~gregate
amount of taxes levied against any separately assessed ~arcel of
a railroad redevelopment corporation shall not exceed 2~e aggregate
amok_ut of the taxes finally determined to be payable on such parcel
for the last fiscal year of such tax district ending prior to the
fiscal year in which such corporation first qualifies as a rail-

of Taxes of the Town of Southo!d~ be and herhereby is authorized
and directed to accept said sum of $~243.i3~ in full payment of
the 1951+-~ real estate taxes due from The Long Island Rail Road
Company~ in accordance with the provisions of said Chapter 824 of'
the Laws of
