In discussing your concerns with our administrative team this morning, and in view of our long-standing relationship with the Greenport Fire Department, we feel comfortable with the insurance they provided and will not ask for anything additional. This is an annual event Greenport Fire Department provides to the community that has taken place on school grounds for many years. Additionally, their emergency vehicles and firefighters will be situated on our site during this event. Also note that the fireworks company contracted directly with the fire department for this activity as part of their fundraiser. It is the fire department that made the application to have use of our facilities as this is their event.
