MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING OF
AUGUST 21, 1981
A Special Meetinq of the Southotd Town Board of Appeals was
held on Friday, August 21, 1981 at 4:50 o'clock p.m. at the
Southold Town Hall, Main Road, Southold, New York 11971, Build-
Inspectors' Office.
Present were: Charles Grigonis, Jr., Chairman; Robert J.
Douglass; Gerard P. Goehringer; Joseph H. Sawicki. Member Doyen,
Fishers Island, was absent.
On motion by Mr. Grigonis, seconded by Mr. Goehringer, it
was
RESOLVED, that the following appeals be scheduled for public
hearings to be held at the next regular meeting of this board,
to wit, September 3, 1981 in addition to those previously
scheduled, and that a notice of these hearings shall be published
in the local and official newspapers as required by law:

9:30 p.m.
William and Ann Zoldessy. Insufficient area and
width of two proposed parcels, Bergen Ave., Matt.
So.nny Brown. To use existing building in B-Zone
as an auto repair shop (and/or reestablish
preexisting use to permit use as same), Main Road,
Greenport.
Anthony G. and Helen M. Nowachek. (a) Construct
deck addition to dwelling with insufficient front-
yard setback, or (b) determining this improvement
not to be an addition to existing structure under
the ordinances. Pequash Ave. & Fleetwood Road,
Cutchogue.
Vote of the Board:
Goehringer and Sawicki.
Ayes: Messrs. Grigonis, Douglass,
(Member Doyen, Fishers Island, was absent.)

ENVIRONMENTAL DECLARATION: Appeal No. 2872.
Application of William and Ann Zoldessy for approval of
insufficient area and width of two proposed parcels, at the
south side of Bergen Avenue, Mattituck, NY.
On motion by Mr. Grigonis, seconded by Mr. GQeh~$nger,
it was
RESOLVED, to declare the following Negative Environmental
Declaration concerning the matter of Appeal No.. 2872:
ENVIRONMENTAL DECLD~RATION:
Pursuant to Section 617.13 of the N.Y.S. Department of
Environmental Conservation Act, Article 8 of the Environmental
Conservation Lawr and Section 44-4 of the Southold Town Code,
notice is hereby given that the Southold Town Board of Appeals
has determined that the subject project as proposed in this
appeal application is hereby classified as a ~ II.Action,
not having a significant adverse effect upon the environm~ent
for the following reason(s):
AD. Environmental Assessment in the Short Form has been
submitted which indicates that no significant adverse effects
were likely to occur should this project be implemented as
planned.
The property or project in question is not located within
300 feet of tidal wetlands area.
This declaration should not be considered a determination
made for any other department or agency which may also be in-
volved, nor for any other project not covered by the subject
appeal application.
Location of Property: South side of Bergen Avenue, Matti-
tuck, NY; County Tax Map Parcel No. 1000-113-7-4.1.

On motion by Mr. Grigonis, seconded by Mr. Goehringer,

RESOLVED, to declare the following Negative Environmental
Declaration concerning the matter of Appeal No. 2873, appli-
cation of Sonny Brown:
ENVIRONMENTAL DECLARATION:
Pursuant to Section 617.13 of the N.Y.S. Department of
Environmental Conservation Act, Article 8 of the Environmental
Conservation Lawt and Section 44-4 of the Southold Town Code,
notice is hereby given that the Southold Town Board of Appeals
has determined that the subject project as proposed in this
appeal application is hereby classified as a-~e.I~.Action,
not having a significant adverse effect upon .the environment
for the following reason(s):

submitted which indicates that no significant adverse effects

notice is hereby given that the Southold Town Board of Appeals

for the following reason(s):

The waiver of notice of this meeting was executed by
each of the board members.
Being there was no further business to come before the
board at this time, the Chairman declared the meeting-closed
at approximately 5:05 p.m.

WAIVER OF NOTICE OF MEETING
OF THE
SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD OF APPEALS
WE, the undersigned, being members of the Board of Appeals of
the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, do hereby severally
waive notice of the time, place and purpose of the meeting of the
Board of Appeals to be held at the Southold Town Hall, Main Road,
Southold, New York on Friday, August 21, 1981 at 4:45 o'clock p.m.
and do hereby consent that the same be held on said date for the
transaction of any business which may properly come before said
meeting.
