Describe the nature and extent of the environmental impacts reasonably anticipated resulting from implementation of the project as proposed. (Use attachments if necessary) The impact of the proposed project will be the restoration of a washed out portion of bluff face to its previously existing(and surrounding)grade and vegetated condition by placing clean sandy fill in the eroded/denuded portion of bluff face and stabilizing it with coir logs and native plantings. Employment of this vegetative/non-structural or"soft"approach to restoring and maintainin a natural protective feature is consistent with the standards for issuance of a coastal erosion management permit set forth in Town Code Section 111-9,specifically being reasonable and necessary;not causing an increase in--and in fact decreasing--the potential for continued erosion of the site;and not just preventing or minimizing adverse effects on the natural. protective feature but having the beneficial effects of restoring and maintaining the functions and values of the bluff for runoff and erosion control. 617.20 Appendix B Short Environmental Assessment Form Instructions for Completing Part I-Project Information. The applicant or project sponsor is responsible for the completion of Part 1.Responses become part of the application for approval or funding, are subject to public review, and may be subject to further verification.
