I also need clarification on what "public liability" means, as "product liability" is not applicable for the Town of Southold. Typically, our insurance agreements include "General Commercial Liability" with a per-occurrence limit of$2 million and a:$2 million general aggregate. The issue may stem from your use of an overseas agency or underwriter; however, I will need more clarity before recommending this to the Town Board. I'm happy to jump on a call if you would like to discuss this further. We submitted the documentation they provitled with our Southold Town special event permit application. If additional documentation is required to meet the town's insurance standards, the global team should be the appropriate point of contact to assist further. For context, the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride takes place in over 900 cities around the world, many of which host significantly more riders than the 45 currently registered for our North Fork event. We're hopeful that insurance requirements won't be a limiting factor for an event that supports such an important cause.
