Gentlemen:
This is to certify that the following action was taken
by the Southold Town Planning Board at their regular meeting
held on October 19, 1965:
in the matter of the petition of Martin C. Nelsen,
for a change of zone on certain real property situated
at Greenport, in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County,
New York, and bounded and described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of
Middle Road, with the easterly line of Moores Lane, from
said point of beginning running along said southerly line
of Middle Road, three courses: (1) N. 66° 09' 10" E.-
96.61 feet; thence (2) N. 69° 02' 10" E.-985.10 feet;
thence (3) N. 71° 28' 20" E.-312.64 feet; thence S. 16°
01' 50" E.-600.0 feet; thence S. 69° 20' 30" W.-1381.31
feet to said easterly line of Moores Lane; thence along
said easterly line, N. 17° 15' 00" W.-600.0 feet to the
point of beginning. Containing 19.303 acres.
It is hereby RESOLVED that the Planning Board favorably
recommend to the Town Board the change of zone from "A"
Residential and Agricultural District to "B-2" Business
District on the property of Martin C. Nelson as described
above.
Report to Southold Town Board
The Planning Board has had conference with the attorney
for Mr. Nelsen and with his engineer. The Planning Board
feels that they have some very promising plans for this
property and we feel that it will be a very real asset to
the Town of Southold.

on Tuesday, October 19, 1965, the original
petition of Martin C. Nelson relative to change
of zone from "A" Residential and Agricult-
ural District to "B-2" Business District
on certain property situated in in Greenport,
New York, was presented to the Board and
is on file in the office of the Planning
Board.
You are instructed to prepare an official
report defining the conditions described
in the petition and determine the area so
effected with the recommendation of your
Board.

amend the Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Soutbold, Suffolk County, New York,
including lhe Building Zone Maps heretofore made a part thereof, as follows: From
"k" Residential and Agricultural to "B-2" Business.
3. Suchrequestis madeforthefollowingreasons: The rapid increase in develop-
ments and residential building in the eastern North Fork area would seem
to make it imperative that a suitable area be set aside for comparable
bus~uess expansion. This is a most promision location and tae plans
for the area, attached hereto, provide an excellent community project
and include desirable parking facilities and traffic patterns.
