POLICY: At scheduled Town Board meetings, the attending public is encouraged to briefly
address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

Suffolk County to undertake an inspection program for existing culverts located on Suffolk

Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
522. Ratify the settlement agreement dated June 15, 2004 regarding a town employee.
523. Authorize and direct the Town Attorney to send the Artco Drainage Corp. file regarding
unpaid sand invoices to William Charles & Scott Ltd. for collection.
524. Authorize modification to the 2004 General Whole Town budget for stewardship
equipment.
525. Authorize modification to the 2004 General Whole Town budget for office supplies/
stationery.
526. Accept the bid of Continental Biomass Industries for supplying the Solid Waste District with
a new Horizontal Yard Waste Grinder.
527. Accept the bid of H.O. Penn Machinery, Inc. for supplying the Solid Waste District with a
new Front-end Wheel Loader.
528. Accept the bid of Long Island Kenworth for supplying the Solid Waste District with a new
Tractor Truck.
529. Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to sign an Agreement with the Cornell Cooperative
Extension for the 2004 Shellfish Hatchery Program at Cedar Beach.

Accept the resignation of Gregory Pouletsos from his position of Public Safety Dispatcher
for the Southold Police Department.
Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise a Moore 5110 Imprinter (Document
Signer) as surplus equipment for bid.
Grant permission to Det. Beth Dzenkowski to attend the NY Police Juvenile Officers
Annual Training Conference August 28-September 3, 2004 in Islandia.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2004 budget for PC Software
Maintenance to cover several over-expended appropriation lines.
Authorize modification to the Highway Fund Part Town 2004 budget for various equipment
and services.
Amend resolution 509, adopted at the June 29, 2004 Town Board meeting to make the
retirement of Annette Jordan effective July 10, 2004.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to hire the firm of Cleary Consulting to do a
SEQRA review of the proposed "A Local Law in relation to Amendments to Chapter A108
of the Code of the Town of Southold pertaining to Highway Specifications".
Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to transmit the proposed "A Local Law in relation to
Amendments to Chapter A108 of the Code of the Town of Southold pertaining to Highway
Specifications".
Set 5:20 p.m., July 27, 2004, Southold Town Hall, a the time and place for a public hearing
on "A Local Law in relation to Parking at the Road End Area on Duck Pond Road".
Gram permission to the Knights of Columbus, Marion Council No. 3852, to use Route 25
and Depot Lane, Cutchogue, for their "Walk for Life" march October 9, 2004.
Authorize closure of Cases Lane from Cedar Road to Route 25 in Cutchogue for the 25th
Annual Douglas Moore Memorial Concert on August 14, 2004.
Appoint Shannon Van Etten to the position of Assistant Cook at the Nutrition Center.
Appoint Terry Schneider to the position of full time Senior Citizen Aide II at the Nutrition
Center.

Authorize changes to fees charged for woodchips and compost produced from brush and
yard waste at the Solid Waste Management District.
Grant permission to Sgt. Ginas, Det. Grathwohl, Det. Conway, and PO Hudock to attend
dive rescue training, hosted by the Orient Fire Department through Dive Rescue
International, Inc. July 23-25, 2004.
Establish the rate of pay for part-time Adult Day Care Supervisor at $17.20/hour.
Promote Andrew Lutkowski to the position of Maintenance Mechanic III.
Promote Michael Eckhardt to the position of Maintenance Mechanic III.
Appoint Ellen Carbonell to the position of part-time Adult Day Care Supervisor in the
Senior Services Department.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute an agreement with the Village of
Greenport to lease a portion of the Radio Communication Tower.
Authorize and direct Island Group Administration to pay the medical bill of a town
employee, which bill was submitted by the provider more than 30 days after the services
were provided.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to sign a proposal from HydroData, Inc. for a
Hydrographic Survey of West Harbor, Fishers Island.
Appoint Luke Schlager as a Student Intern I in the Accounting and Finance Department.
Authorize modification to the 2004 General Whole Town budget for parking lot
improvements at the Recreation Center.
Authorize Supervisor Horton to execute an agreement with Community Energy Inc. for the
purchase of wind-generated electricity for a five-year term.
Grant permission to Heather Tetrault, Environmental Technician for the Town Trustees, to
attend Sensible Solutions for LI Sound g Public Symposium on July 20, 2004 at
Farmingdale State University.
558. Appoint Mary C. Wilson, Esq. as hearing officer in disciplinary charges brought against a
town employee.

Declare that the Town Board has lead agency with respect to the acquisition of a 75' strip
along the length of the southerly portion of the Corazzini parcel located on Cox Lane,
SCTM g1000-84-1-p/o 26.002, for the purpose of the Commercial and Residential
Recycling Collection Facility project, and issue a negative declaration under SEQRA.

Set 9:00 a.m., August 10, 2004, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a public
hearing on the proposed acquisition under the New York Eminent Domain Procedure Law
of a 75' wide strip along the length of the southerly portion of the Richard W. Corazzini, Jr.
parcel, SCTM g1000-84-1-p.o 26.002, located on Cox Lane within the Town of Southold,
to provide access to the District's Commercial and Residential Recycling Collection Facility
located in Cutchogue.
