(631)765-1809 MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING THURSDAY,APRIL 17,2025 A special meeting of the SOUTHOLD TOWN ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS was held at the Southold Town Hall Annex,Bank Room, 54375 Main Road at Youngs Avenue, Southold on Thursday, April 17, 2025 commencing at 4:30 P.M. The public had access to view and listen to the meeting as it was happening via Zoom. However, this meeting was not a public hearing and no testimony was solicited or received. Present were: Leslie Kanes Weisman, Chairperson Elizabeth Sakarellos, Sr. Office Assistant Nicholas Planamento, Vice Chair Kim Fuentes, Board Assistant Rob Lehnert,Member Julie McGivney,Assistant Town Attorney Margaret Steinbugler, Member 4:39 P.M. Chairperson Weisman opened the meeting in order to call for Executive Session. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Member Weisman(Chairperson) Planamento Lehnert and Steinbugler. This Resolution was duly adopted (4-0) (Member Acampora absent). EXECUTIVE SESSION: 4:39 P.M. Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Planamento to enter into Executive Session in order to receive Attorney Advice. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Members Weisman(Chairperson), Lehnert,Planamento and Steinbugler. (This Resolution was duly adopted ted 4-0) (Member Acampora absent)., 5:39 P.M. Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Planamento to exit Executive Session. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Members Weisman (Chairperson),Lehnert Planamento, and Steinbugler. Requests from the Board Members for future agenda items. B. Discuss Extensions,Amendments, and De Minimus requests. C. The Chairperson discussed with the Members a Town Board Public Hearing scheduled for May regarding possible code changes for Affordable Dwelling Units. DELIBERATIONS/POSSIBLE DECISIONS/RESOLUTIONS: Agenda items and commenced deliberations on the following applications. The original determinations of each of the following applications as decided are filed with the Southold Town Clerk: GRANT RELIEF AS APPLIED FOR: Hugh Benedict McBride and Leah Elizabeth Volk#8000 Vote of the Board: Ayes: Member Weisman (Chairperson),Planamento, Lehnert and Steinbugler. This Resolution was dull adopted(4-0) (Member Acampora absent). GRANTED RELIEF AS APPLIED FOR WITH CONDITIONS: Rainer Gross#7993 Crab Cove,LLC#7998 Peter and Donna Ruttura#8002 Vote of the Board: Ayes: Member Weisman(Chairperson),Planamento,Lehnert and Steinbugler. This Resolution was duly adopted(4-0) (Member Acampora absent) GRANT RELIEF IN PART/DENY IN PART WITH CONDITIONS: Joseph Charles Casarona Trust#7995 Vote of the Board: Ayes: Member Weisman(Chairperson), Planamento,Lehnert and Steinbugler. This Resolution was duly adopted(4-0) (Member Acampora absent RELIEF DENIED: North Road Hotel, LLC,Hotel Moraine#7927SE North Road Hotel, LLC,Hotel Moraine#7953 Vote of the Board: Ayes: Member Weisman (Chairperson),Planamento,Lehnert and Steinbugler. RESOLUTIONS: RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Steinbugler to authorize advertising of hearings for the Regular Meeting to be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, which will commence at 9:00 AM for Executive Session and 10:00 A.M. for Regular Meeting. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Member Weisman(Chairperson), Planamento, Lehnert and Steinbugler. This Resolution was dull adopted(4-0) (Member Acampora absent . RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Lehnert to approve Minutes of the Regular Meeting held March 6, 2025. Vote of the Board: Ayes: Member Weisman(Chairperson),Planamento,Lehnert and Steinbugler. This Resolution was duly adopted (4-0) (Member Acampora Absent. RESOLUTION ADOPTED: Motion was offered by Chairperson Weisman, seconded by Member Lehnert to GRANT a one-year extension to#7609,Bay Beach,LLC, 1055 Bay Home Road, Southold. SCTM No. 1000-56-5-35. To expire on April 21, 2026. Vote of the Board: AY E Member Weisman(Chairperson),Planamento,Lehnert and Steinbugler.
